    1. I am composing in Sanskrit a writing about the Real I, i.e. the Real Essence in everybody: Vāstavāhantāpravacanam (A Discourse about the Real I). When it is finished it will contain a good portion of all my knowledge about Trika Shaivism and Indian philosophies. I am adding more stuff practically every day. For now it is only available in English, Spanish and Russian.
    2. Although Amazon.com is the central headquarters for all my books, they are also available at: Barnes & Noble, Ebay, Booklooker, Betterworldbooks, MercadoLibre, and many more (search "gabriel pradiipaka" on all those websites).

  1. 08/03: FRESH NEWS!: Read! Details

    1. More than two months without any news here. Anyway, I have been working very hard, as always.
    2. Our website runs on a VPS (a virtual private server). We had 2 GB of RAM but this amount started to be not enough with more and more visitors coming. So, we upgraded our memory to 4 GB now. It should be sufficient for the next couple of years if there is no sudden crazy surge of more visitors.
    3. Our website is "totally devoid of advertising". Therefore, you do not need any adblockers here. We are paying all the bills out of our own pockets. Our goal in this is not to pester the visitors with ads while they are reading the content.
    4. I started to translate a new scripture: Śivastotrāvalīvivṛti (the famous Kṣemarāja's commentary on Utpaladeva's Śivastotrāvalī).
    5. I finished translating chapter 7 in Bhagavadgītā. I plan to finish the full translation of Bhagavadgītā during this year.
    6. Meanwhile, my wife and collaborator, Natalia Ambikā, finished translating Kṣemarāja's Parāprāveśikā into Russian. Additionally, she was these days translating Īśvarapratyabhijñākārikā-s too. Now she is fully occupied with the translation of Pātañjalayogasūtra-s into her native language. Congratulations!
    7. Although Amazon.com is the central headquarters for all my books, they are also available at: Barnes & Noble, Ebay, Booklooker, Betterworldbooks, MercadoLibre, and many more (search "gabriel pradiipaka" on all those websites).

    1. I finished translating Abhinavagupta's Tantrasāra from Sanskrit into English. I was working on this important scripture for several months. Now it is complete! Its respective translation into Spanish will follow subsequently. I plan to add notes of explanation in the future too, or most people will not understand it properly.
    2. I started my translation of Utpaladeva's Īśvarapratyabhijñākārikā-s too, both in English and Spanish. This scripture is the most important one of the Pratyabhijñā section in the literature of Trika Shaivism. Well, this will require a strong effort to be finished as the text is extremely subtle and intricate. Wish me luck!
    3. Natalia Ambikā (my wife, called affectionately "Gurumā") has translated all the Tantrasāra's chapters (except for the 20th and the 21st chapters) into her native language (Russian). Congratulations!
    4. Ivan Nandī, one collaborator of my YouTube channel, is making the English subtitles for the videos related to my own book: Trikamukhyamatāni (Main Tenets of Trika Shaivism).
    5. I continue with my on-line satsaṅga-s every weekend. Now I am explaining my own book: "Spirituality - Volume 1". I add a new ~1 hour video every week to the "Spirituality - Volume 1" playlist on my YouTube channel. So far the playlist contains 27 videos. The last video is at 4K (Zoom records are now at this resolution). Check it out! — Our satsaṅga-s are held every Saturday at 4 pm (Moscow time) and they last around two hours (the core of the satsaṅga lasts around 1 hour, which is recorded on video; the rest of the satsaṅga consists of questions and answers, talks about some topics, etc). Do you want to participate? Just three requirements: (1) Make sure that you are a seriously interested in my teachings and that you are not someone merely curious about them (I do not want people coming and going), (2) fluent English or Spanish (I am speaking in both languages at the same time), and (3) get a free Zoom account and edit your profile there placing your real picture and real name. Next, click on CONTACT above, in the navigation bar of this website, and send me an email with a message describing who you are. If you are approved, you will receive a link for joining the meeting via Telegram or Whatsapp (the one you choose). Do not make me waste my time, please. Satsaṅga-s are, of course, for free.
    6. Although Amazon.com is the central headquarters for all my books, they are also available at: Barnes & Noble, Ebay, Booklooker, Betterworldbooks, MercadoLibre, and many more (search "gabriel pradiipaka" on all those websites).

  5. 04/17: Gurujī: 40 years in Yoga! Details

Gurujī celebrating his 40 years in YogaGurujī is celebrating his 40 years in Yoga!:

Gabriel Pradīpaka (affectionately called "Gurujī") has been a dedicated practitioner of Yoga for 40 years, has traversed an extensive journey in the quest for spiritual enlightenment. Over the years, Gurujī has explored and practiced various forms of yoga, including Haṭhayoga, Aṣṭāṅgayoga, Kuṇḍalinīyoga, and Jñānayoga, among others. Gurujī's quest for spiritual enlightenment led him to become a part of the Siddhayoga community, where he spent six years learning and practicing under the guidance of their teachers. During his time in the Siddhayoga community, Gurujī gained a deeper understanding of the spiritual path and further honed his practice.

After leaving the Siddhayoga community, Gurujī joined the Akṛtrimo Yogaḥ community, where they spent around eight years exploring the intricacies of Trika Shaivism and Sanskrit. The community's teachings emphasized the power of meditation and the attainment of Self-realization in a natural way, which resonated deeply with Gurujī's spiritual aspirations.

After spending a lot of years in both the Siddhayoga and Akṛtrimo Yogaḥ communities, Gurujī decided to embark on a solo journey towards spiritual enlightenment. For thirteen years, Gurujī delved into his practice, meditated deeply, and explored different aspects of Trika Shaivism scriptures, both physically and mentally. It was during this time that Gurujī experienced a profound spiritual awakening, which led to his Liberation from the cycles of birth and death.

Since attaining spiritual Liberation, Gurujī has dedicated himself to guiding others on their spiritual journeys, serving as a Guru for the past thirteen years. Gurujī's teachings emphasize the importance of dedication to Trika Shavisim and the study of the most important scriptures of that system, and encourage students to look within themselves for the answers they seek. Through his extensive experience and deep understanding of the spiritual path, Gurujī has become a beacon of light for those seeking guidance and direction in their spiritual journeys. His teachings and guidance have helped countless individuals find peace, contentment, and spiritual fulfillment, making Gurujī a true inspiration and a revered figure in the world of Yoga and spirituality.

    1. Was I doing nothing again?: NO, I finished my translation of Chapter 13, Chapter 14 and Chapter 15 in Abhinavagupta's Tantrasāra "in English".
    2. The translation of Chapter 16 —dealing with the initiation of the absent one— in English already started!
    3. Chapters 13, 14 and 15 (and Chapters 16-19 and 22 too) deal with ritualistic activities. Abhinavagupta is a big fan of rituals as he is predominantly a follower of the Kula school in Trika Shaivism. So, you find that half of his Tantrāloka is rituals, and half of his Tantrasāra (the summary of Tantrāloka) is also rituals, of course. I am predominantly a follower of the Spanda school in Trika Shaivism (the other two schools are Pratyabhijñā and Krama). Consequently, I am not interested at all in ritualistic activities. In my opinion, Knowledge is much more important than rituals. That is why in Parabhairavayoga (the Trika Shaivism-based Yoga I created), rituals occupy a minimal portion, if any. Anyway, here you have Abhinavagupta with his detailed descriptions of rituals for those of you who like them. To each their own!
    4. Now, there is a controversy coming up in Chapter 14 when Abhinavagupta describes animal sacrifices. I am completely against the killing of animals in rituals, even if it is for their Liberation. It is a horrible thing indeed! Nonetheless, when you read that chapter, you should take into account the place and the time when Abhinavagupta wrote all that: Kashmir in the 12th century.
    5. Another important thing happened: The Kindle version of my brand-new book "Parabhairavayogābhyāsāḥ - Volume 1" (Practices in Parabhairavayoga - Volume 1 - Śāmbhavopāya) is now available. In this book I wrote in Sanskrit (there is a translation, obviously) a full study of the "highest level" of Self-realization according to Trika Shaivism. The printed version of the book will be available soon as well.
    6. I continue with my on-line satsaṅga-s every weekend. Now I am explaining my own book: "Spirituality - Volume 1". I add a new ~1 hour video every week to the "Spirituality - Volume 1" playlist on my YouTube channel. So far the playlist contains 16 videos. Check it out! — Our satsaṅga-s are held every Saturday at 4 pm (Moscow time) and they last around two hours. Do you want to participate? Just two requirements: (1) Very fluent English, and (2) your Skype ID (click on CONTACT above, in the navigation bar, to send me an email with your Skype ID and a message describing who you are). Satsaṅga-s are, of course, for free.

    2. Moving now to chapter 10 fast. I will be uploading updates in English soon. When I finish my English translation of Tantrasāra completely, I will add translations in Spanish.
    3. My wife and collaborator finished translating into Russian the following chapter in Tantrasāra: Chapter 22. She also translated the Trika FAQ and the whole Website Tour. Thanks to her vigorous work, now Russia is "second" in 2022 regarding number of website visitors, only behind USA. Congratulations!
    4. I continue with my on-line satsaṅga-s every weekend. Now I am explaining my own book: "Spirituality - Volume 1". I add a new ~1 hour video every week to the "Spirituality - Volume 1" playlist on my YouTube channel. So far the playlist contains 8 videos. Check it out!

  2. 11/16: MASSIVE UPDATE: Read here! Details

    pic 57

    1. Massive update: I published 252 new pages (42 pages x 6 languages). Firstly, I mounted 54 pages (9 pages x 6 languages) containing the whole Pāṇini's Aṣṭādhyāyī (3983 aphorisms). Secondly, I mounted 198 pages (33 pages x 6 languages) containing the same scripture but with a rather complete explanation. Of course, I will be translating and explaining Aṣṭādhyāyī little by little over the months or years (especially because of the explanations, which will be huge sometimes), but now the whole framework to do so is completely ready.
    2. Pāṇini's Aṣṭādhyāyī: I started in English with the Chapter 1. I will be updating it regularly.
    3. I also continue with my work on Tantrasāra's Chapter 9 in English. I am updating it regularly too.
    4. My wife and collaborator finished translating into Russian the following chapters in Tantrasāra: Chapter 6, chapter 7 and chapter 8. Fantastic!
    5. I continue with my on-line satsaṅga-s every weekend. Now I am explaining my own book: "Spirituality - Volume 1". I add a new ~1 hour video every week to the "Spirituality - Volume 1" playlist on my YouTube channel. So far the playlist contains 3 videos. Check it out!

  3. 10/21: Aṣṭādhyāyī: Read here! Details

    pic 56

    1. Front page in Pāṇini's Aṣṭādhyāyī has been published! The whole scripture contains 8 chapters containing 351, 268, 631, 635, 564, 736, 438 and 369 aphorisms, respectively, totaling 3992. In turn, each of those chapters is divided into four subchapters. The writing style is, anyway, very concise. Why? Because those 3992 aphorisms were supposed to be memorized by apprentices of Sanskrit grammar. So, Pāṇini tried to write so briefly as possible in order to make memorization any simpler. Of course, that brevity made the aphorisms more cryptic!
    2. In Abhinavagupta's Tantrasāra: Chapter 7 and chapter 8 are fully available now in English (though no polishing so far). Chapter 9's English translation is in progress right now!
    3. Translations to Spanish and other languages are in process.
    4. My wife and collaborator, Natalia Ambikā, was translating hard again in Russian language!: Tantrasāra's chapter 4 and chapter 5. VERY WELL!
    5. I continue with my on-line satsaṅga-s every weekend. Now I am explaining my own Trikamukhyamatāni (Main Tenets of Trika Shaivism). I add a new ~1 hour video every week to the Trikamukhyamatāni playlist on my YouTube channel. So far the playlist contains 19 videos, i.e. around 19 hours full of teachings. Check it out!
    6. Although Amazon.com is the central headquarters for all my books, they are also available at: Barnes & Noble, Ebay, Booklooker, Betterworldbooks, MercadoLibre, and many more (search "gabriel pradiipaka" on all those websites).

    2. Translations to Spanish and other languages are in process.
    3. My wife and collaborator, Natalia Ambikā, was on a translation spree again!: Tantrasāra's chapter 1, chapter 2 and chapter 3, along with chapter 1 in Tantrāloka (fully translated into Russian language). EXCELLENT!
    4. I continue with my on-line satsaṅga-s every weekend. Now I am explaining my own Trikamukhyamatāni (Main Tenets of Trika Shaivism). 5. 09/13: Chapter 4: Read here! Details

    pic 54

    1. I published now the long fourth chapter in Abhinavagupta's Tantrasāra. It deals with a person who has attained the enlightenment of his own mind. He stays completely absorbed in the pure thought. This is Śāktopāya (the means of Śakti). When he finally understands that his mind is just Śakti (the Power of the Great Lord), then he is promoted to the higher level (a.k.a. Śāmbhavopāya).
    2. English speakers have also access to chapter 5 and chapter 22 (in progress both) in Tantrasāra, as well as the 8th chapter in Tantrāloka. Translations to Spanish and other languages are in process.
    3. My wife and collaborator, Natalia Ambikā, was on a translation spree!: Bodhapañcadaśikā, Trikamukhyamatāni, Kalpanāṣaṭkam and chapter 1 in Tantrāloka (the latter is work in progress yet). VERY WELL!
    4. Moreover, I continue with my on-line satsaṅga-s every weekend. Now I am explaining my own Trikamukhyamatāni (Main Tenets of Trika Shaivism). I add a new ~1 hour video every week to the Trikamukhyamatāni playlist on my YouTube channel. So far the playlist contains 14 videos, i.e. around 14 hours full of teachings. Also, our collaborator, Ivan, has added "polished" subtitles in English in the first three videos there. Check it out!

    1. My wife, Natalia Ambikā, finished her translation into Russian up to the stanza 105 in Abhinavagupta's Paramārthasāra. With this, she has completely finished translating the venerable scripture from English into Russian. It has taken months of hard effort indeed. Far from taking a deserved rest, she is already working on her next translation. CONGRATULATIONS!
    2. I published now the long third chapter in Abhinavagupta's Tantrasāra. It deals with a person who has attained the dissolution of his own mind. He can stay at will with his mind completely arrested. This is Śāmbhavopāya (the means of Śambhu). Liberation is here practically on the palm of your hand.
    3. I am already starting my translation of the "longer" fourth chapter. To translate Abhinavagupta's scriptures is always uphill. It is very heavy as the sage is extremely scholarly and... confusing too. And do not expect him to be didactic or something. If to read Abhinavagupta's stuff is already a hard task, you can imagine how hard is to translate his writings from Sanskrit. I do not wish this on anyone, really, and I am not joking. I have headaches many times because of him. Other symptoms that you are translating Abhinavagupta's stuff is that things begin to get broken around you (Tantrasāra was NO exception), and sometimes people die, or you experience some other mysterious mishaps happening exactly when you start to translate Abhinavagupta's writings. This is very normal and again I am not joking. That is why to deal with the energy contained in his books is a pain always. Kind of radioactivity. For all that, I am not certainly in love with translating his scriptures. I never revealed this before, but I am doing it right now. I only make this great effort now for the sake of my own disciples, as I said before in a previous news.
    4. Although Amazon.com is the central headquarters for all my books, they are also available at: Barnes & Noble, Ebay, Booklooker, Betterworldbooks, MercadoLibre, and many more (search "gabriel pradiipaka" on all those websites).

    1. As I promised, I started to publish my own writings in Sanskrit at "Scripture/Gurujī's writings" (check the accordion menu on the right, please). The first two writings I added are: Kalpanāṣaṭkam (Six stanzas about imagination) and Trikamukhyamatāni (Main tenets of Trika Shaivism). I am very happy with sharing my simple writings with the whole world!
    2. My wife, Natalia Ambikā, finished her translation into Russian up to the stanza 99 in Abhinavagupta's Paramārthasāra. She is now very near the end of the scripture, which consists of 105 stanzas. Great job, as usual!
    3. Although Amazon.com is the central headquarters for all my books, they are also available at: Barnes & Noble, Ebay, Booklooker, Betterworldbooks, MercadoLibre, and many more (search "gabriel pradiipaka" on all those websites).

  8. 08/20: SHORT NEWS 2: Read here! Details

    pic 51

    1. ANOTHER SHORT NEWS!
    2. As I promised, I am publishing now the famous Abhinavagupta's Bodhapañcadaśikā (Fifteen stanzas about Knowledge/Consciousness). This short scripture is a summary of Trika Shaivism. It is intended for all those people with weak intellects who cannot deal with massive treatises like Tantrāloka, Tantrasāra, Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa, etc. (written by Abhinavagupta too). Despite its brevity, Bodhapañcadaśikā is very famous in the Trika Shaivism community.
    3. Now I will prepare the subsection for my own writings under "Scriptures" (check the menu on the right), as I promised too. At first, I will include a short poetry I composed many years ago.
    4. Although Amazon.com is the central headquarters for all my books, they are also available at: Barnes & Noble, Ebay, Booklooker, Betterworldbooks, MercadoLibre, and many more (search "gabriel pradiipaka" on all those websites).

  9. 08/18: SHORT NEWS: Read here! Details

    pic 50

    1. SHORT NEWS!
    2. I published now the short second chapter in Abhinavagupta's Tantrasāra. It deals with a person who attains Liberation instantly after hearing only once that "he is Śiva Himself" from his own Guru. This is Anupāya (devoid of means) as there is no means (practices) to achieve the final Goal of a human being.
    3. I will publish another short but famous Abhinavagupta's scripture soon.
    4. I am planning to add my own writings (scriptures?) to this website. As my "scriptures" are written in very simple Sanskrit are not on a par with the ones of Glorious Śiva, Majestic Abhinavagupta, Sublime Kṣemarāja and the rest of great Trika sages, and I cannot include them in the "Scriptures/Trika scriptures" subsection together with those of the tremendous authors of yore. I am not so arrogant and crazy yet. Consequently, I will create a special subsection under the "Scriptures" section called "Gurujī's writings" or something. This will enrich the website, I hope. Wish me luck!
    5. Although Amazon.com is the central headquarters for all my books, they are also available at: Barnes & Noble, Ebay, Booklooker, Betterworldbooks, MercadoLibre, and many more (search "gabriel pradiipaka" on all those websites).
    6. Enjoy!
  10. 08/16: GREAT NEWS: Read here! Details

    1. MANY GREAT NEWS!
    2. Our Canadian collaborator, Marlon Melin, launched the 2022 version of his fantastic Sanskrit Editor. It is ready for you to download it, but before installing it remember to uninstall first the previous version of the Sanskrit Editor you might be using. Now his editor is fully functional in Windows 11! Many fixes and improvements have been made. Additionally, there is now support for more languages in the download file: English (default), Spanish, German, French, Hungarian, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian and Tamil. It is very easy to change to your native language other than English (check the Help menu). If you think that a particular language pack is in need of a correction, you can send Marlon an email at with your correction. Sanskrit Editor (2022) is the software Gabriel Pradīpaka uses on this website. It is not only for Sanskrit scholars, anyway, but for any person who is searching a very handy tool like this one for all his Sanskrit needs.
    3. I, Gabriel Pradīpaka, after a long time dedicated to writing my books, undertake now the translation of venerable Abhinavagupta's Tantrasāra (Essence of Tantra), a summary of voluminous Tantrāloka. I finished the first chapter dealing with an explanation of the different kinds of knowledge/consciousness. This chapter 1 is a good summarized version of the first chapter in Tantrāloka. I am making this great effort only for the sake of my own disciples. The rest of fit people in this irrelevant humankind will benefit from my effort anyway. Tantrasāra was written by request of Abhinavagupta's disciples, as they could not properly deal with extensive Tantrāloka. Abhinavagupta then composed a sizable summary of his Tantrāloka in the form of this Tantrasāra.
    4. My wife finished her Russian translation up to the stanza 95 in Abhinavagupta's Paramārthasāra. Great effort, as always! She is very near the end of the scripture.
    5. I will start to score websites in my Sanskrit Directory very soon! The greatest websites there will receive the maximum number of stars. If your website is included there, check the Sanskrit Directory regularly to see your score.
    6. Also, I published in Amazon.com and other important bookstores my Spanish translation of the first volume of Abhinavagupta's Tantrāloka (Chapters 1, 2 and 3).
    7. Although Amazon.com is the central headquarters for all my books, they are also available at: Barnes & Noble, Ebay, Booklooker, Betterworldbooks, MercadoLibre, and many more (search "gabriel pradiipaka" on all those websites).

  11. 06/14: Important news: Read here! Details

    pic 48

    1. My wife and collaborator, Natalia Ambikā, finished in Russian up to the stanza 82 in Abhinavagupta's Paramārthasāra. Since the whole scripture contains 105 stanzas, she is, little by little, approaching the end of it. She is doing an excellent job with this. Her translation is permitting Russian-speaking visitors to drink from the Nectar of Wisdom contained in sublime Paramārthasāra. Congratulations!
    2. Another important news: My private satsaṅga-s by Skype started to become public. I began explaining my book "Trikamukhyamatāni" (Main Tenets of Trika Shaivism) last Saturday and already published the first video on my YouTube channel: Trikamukhyamatāni playlist is here.
    3. Currently I am working on my translation of Tantrāloka. I am polishing many things there and I will add another chapter soon. I translated by now around 37% of the entire scripture (very loooooooooooooooooooooooong indeed). If I had been Abhinavagupta, I would have written something much shorter in order not to demolish the weak intellects of most people in this foolish world. Therefore, my work will take some time (ages, maybe :D). The intellects of most people are weak because they try to satisfy every desire they have, because they give themselves over to stupid emotions the whole day, because they do not think by themselves but they rather blindly follow others' opinions, because they live inside a nut their entire lives and at the same time aspire to reach Heaven, because they are mostly frivolous and trivial, because they worship their bodies as if these ones were the eternal Truth, because they are based at the end on violence, because their supposed sense of self-importance is false, because they are completely lost despite they pretend to be "in control", and so on and on. For all those reasons, they are not ready to understand such a lengthy/complex scripture like Tantrāloka. Anyway, I continue with my efforts for the 0.00001% of the world population.
    4. Although Amazon.com is the central headquarters for all my books, they are also available at: Barnes & Noble, Ebay, Booklooker, Betterworldbooks, MercadoLibre, and many more (search "gabriel pradiipaka" on all those websites).

  12. 05/31: 23rd anniversary: Read here! Details

    ANNIVERSARY: 23 YEARS!

    1. We —all the collaborators, disciples and I— are extremely happy with a new anniversary of our beloved website. 23 years giving free stuff without the least advertising!
    2. To keep a big website running is expensive in efforts and money. We have managed to do it for 23 years by now without pestering you with annoying ads. By the way, right today I received another email from another advertising company suggesting me to put ads on our website. No way they will convince me because I dislike ads in all of their forms.
    3. Total yearly visits are around 1 million. This is a healthy number if you consider the topics being dealt with here. Obviously, if I published pictures of naked women, I would get 1 million visits per day! Such is the nature of this foolish world.
    4. My wife and collaborator, Natalia Ambikā, finished in Russian up to the stanza 78 in Abhinavagupta's Paramārthasāra. Massive effort!
    5. The Sanskrit Directory contains now 200 links to relevant websites! To filter 200 links I needed to check 2000+ websites, of course, which has been exhausting to me. Hopefully it was worth the effort. My first goal is to reach 300 links, the number of links the directory had many years ago. I continue my work on that.
    6. I published the first volume of my Tantrāloka collection in English (the Abhinavagupta's Magnum Opus). To translate such a long scripture is a very hard work. For now, I am publishing the first three chapters in this first volume. The entire Tantrāloka contains 37 chapters.
    7. Although Amazon.com is the central headquarters for all my books, they are also available at: Barnes & Noble, Ebay, Booklooker, Betterworldbooks, MercadoLibre, and many more (search "gabriel pradiipaka" on all those websites).
    8. Happy anniversary! Enjoy!

    1. A promise is a promise. I am rebuilding the link directory (Sanskrit Directory) with a brand-new software we bought. In the past we used two softwares: Jade and phpMydirectory. Now, we are using "Link Directory Pro".
    2. The previous Sites of the Year (from 2004 to 2014, except two of them which were discontinued) were duly added. I am still NOT scoring websites with stars (I will do it soon as this new software naturally evolves). For now, I am only marking very-high-quality websites with a "featured" mark. Anyway, the visitors can score the websites "with stars" inside the "redirection page".
    3. You can access the Sanskrit Directory by clicking on LINKS in the above navigation bar.
    4. If you want your Sanskrit-universe-related website on the directory, you can send me an email with your suggestion. I will check it out and decide. I will be adding more and more websites during this week (and the next too maybe). Therefore, you will see new sites appearing day after day. And yes, I am also planning for the future to add the "Site of the Year" feature to the directory. I am very glad with all these announcements!
    5. My wife and collaborator, Natalia Ambikā, finished in Russian up to the stanza 66 now in Abhinavagupta's Paramārthasāra. Incredible efforts! Congratulations!
    6. Although Amazon.com is the central headquarters for all my books, they are also available at: Barnes & Noble, Ebay, Booklooker, Betterworldbooks, MercadoLibre, and many more (search "gabriel pradiipaka" on all those websites).

    2. I updated the Parabhairavayoga Gallery with 141 pictures of the last year! Check them out!
    3. A brand-new book in Spanish is available now for people: "Tres himnos en honor de Śiva y Guru" (hard cover version). The Kindle version is in the works and coming soon.
    4. Although Amazon.com is the central headquarters for all my books, they are also available at: Barnes & Noble, Ebay, Booklooker, Betterworldbooks, MercadoLibre, and many more (search "gabriel pradiipaka" on all those websites).

    pic 45

    1. My wife and collaborator, Natalia Ambikā, finished in Russian up to the stanza 50 in Abhinavagupta's Paramārthasāra. Enormous efforts made by her here as this scripture is very tricky for translators. Congratulations!
    2. A brand-new book in English is available now for people: "Three hymns in honor of Śiva and Guru". This book contains three hymns that the participants must recite while they are worshiping: Śivamahimnaḥ stotram, Śivamānasapūjā and Gurugītā. It is indeed recommended for a wide range of spiritual seekers from different spiritual traditions.
    3. Although Amazon.com is the central headquarters for all my books, they are also available at: Barnes & Noble, Ebay, Booklooker, Betterworldbooks, MercadoLibre, and many more (search "gabriel pradiipaka" on all those websites).
    4. The Spanish version of "Three hymns in honor of Śiva and Guru" is coming soon! Tamás István Énisz is editing it. Stay sharp!
    5. Russian readers cannot buy from Amazon.com the paper versions of my books (because it is not shipping to Russia from there). Instead, they should buy them from Amazon.es (from Spain). Kindle versions (electronic versions) of my books are, of course, available from Amazon.com.
    6. Enjoy!

  1. 12/12: SOMETHING NEW: Read here! Details

    pic 44

    1. My wife and collaborator, Natalia Ambikā, finished in Russian up to the stanza 23 in Abhinavagupta's Paramārthasāra. The Yogarāja's commentary included in this page is particularly difficult to understand. So, she was making vigorous efforts to translate that commentary into her native language so accurately as possible. Congratulations!
    2. And now more great news for the Spanish-speakers, because a new book in Spanish is available: "Parabhairavayogasaṁsthāpanapracodanam: Principios Fundacionales del Parabhairavayoga (Spanish Edition)". This book is very important. It contains the 92 principles my Parabhairavayoga is based on. I must specially thank Tamás István Énisz for having edited this beautiful book.
    3. Although Amazon.com is the central headquarters for all my books, they are also available at: Barnes & Noble, Ebay, Booklooker, Betterworldbooks, MercadoLibre, and many more (search "gabriel pradiipaka" on all those websites).
    4. A new book in Spanish is coming soon! Tamás István Énisz is editing it. Stay sharp!
    5. Additionally, I am also writing a nice little book about Haṭhayoga. I guess it will be available in January/February (next year).
    6. Enjoy!

    1. My wife and collaborator, Natalia Ambikā, finished in Russian up to the stanza 15 in Abhinavagupta's Paramārthasāra. She has been working for months! Keep it up!
    2. And now more great news for the Spanish-speakers, because two new books are now available: "Libro de Canto" and "Libro de Canto para el Ritual de Adoración". The former contains all the chants that are approved to use in our Parabhairavayoga community, while the latter includes all the chants to use during a Yajña or Ritual of Worship, such as we perform it in our community as well. I must specially thank Tamás István Énisz for having edited the books.
    3. Two new books in Spanish are coming soon! Tamás István Énisz is editing one and I am revising the other. Stay sharp!
    4. Additionally, I am writing a long new book in English (several volumes). It will arrive next year! Expect a Spanish version too after that.
    5. Enjoy!
  3. 06/30: VERY GOOD NEWS: Read! Details

    1. Our collaborators from Brazil, Paulo y Claudio, translated the stanzas 87-91 in Abhinavagupta's Paramārthasāra. Congratulations on such great efforts, friends!
    2. My wife and collaborator, Natalia Ambikā, finished in Russian up to the stanza 3 in Abhinavagupta's Paramārthasāra. Congratulations for her too!
    3. And now great news for the Spanish-speakers: My first book in Spanish is already a reality: "Principios Fundamentales del Shaivismo Trika"; on paper and also in digital Kindle format. It took me several days of hard effort to translate the English version into Spanish. I must specially thank three people for the making of this first edition in Spanish of the "Principios Fundamentales del Shaivismo Trika": István Tamás Énisz for having edited the book, Balázs Zubák for having supervised the edition, and Diana de Santiago for having revised everything regarding Spanish language in this important text. Thank you very much!
    4. In this book I describe in Sanskrit poetry (with meter) the 25 main tenets of the system it is my specialty: Trika Shaivism, also known as Non-dual Shaivism of Kashmir, or simply Kashmir Shaivism (plainly). The present text consists of twelve introductory stanzas, twenty-five stanzas describing the twenty-five principles, two stanzas like a kind of epilogue, and a final stanza. In total, 40 stanzas written in meters Ārya and Āryagīti, non-strict, for the delight of the readers.
    5. The book on paper contains 366 pages, while the Kindle edition 266. Enjoy!

    ANNIVERSARY: 22 YEARS!

    1. We, all the collaborators, disciples and I, are very happy with this new anniversary of our free and ad-free website! We are celebrating another year on-line!
    2. This year, like the last one, I have been very busy with my books. Anyway, soon I will publish something big here... as a matter of fact, two big things, if everything goes as planned! I announced the first big thing before, if my memory serves me well, but the second big thing will be a surprise.
    3. My wife and collaborator, Natalia Ambikā, finished translating into Russian the entire Spandanirṇaya (a lengthy and very important scripture)! In the process, she had to update the Russian translation of Spandakārikā-s (Spandanirṇaya is its main commentary) too. It has been a very long journey indeed. She has begun to translate another scripture into Russian now: Abhinavagupta's Paramārthasāra. Congratulations for your great efforts, Natalia, and keep it up!
    4. Happy anniversary! Enjoy!
  5. 04/14: New collection: Read here! Details

    pic 41

    1. The first volume of the five volume "Spirituality" collection is here!
    2. I am very happy to present you, dear visitor, this series of books about Spirituality in general. The whole collection acts like a kind of handbook for all the spiritual aspirants who are desirous of attaining the goal of life: Liberation from never-ending suffering. These books are being published in several volumes. In them, from volume to volume, I, little by little, increase the depth and difficulty of my teachings. Why? In order to give you a very systematic spiritual knowledge by including more and more Sanskrit, more and more quotes from different scriptures accompanied with my detailed explanations, and such. I am making this great effort for two reasons: To reconnect spiritual aspirants with their own Self and to make Trika Shaivism knowledge up to date and fully alive. These books are therefore a complete encyclopedia of Spirituality. Systematizing this divine spiritual knowledge in my usual consistent manner, I explain at first everything in a very simple way. Next, I start to gradually increase the difficulty. On that account, my teachings will be understandable to spiritual aspirants of different degrees, since the complexity will increase from volume to volume in a gradual way.
    3. I also continue with the translation of my books into Spanish: Svādhyāya -Chanting book- (completed and now under review). Yajñagītapustakam -Chanting book for the ritual of worship- (completed and now under review). Trikamukhyamatāni -Main principles of Trika Shaivism- (completed and now under review). Parabhairava-yoga-saṁsthāpana-pracodanam -Foundational principles of Parabhairavayoga- (42 % completed so far - in full process of translation right now).
    4. Enjoy!

    1. My wife and collaborator, Natalia Ambikā, has translated the first ten aphorisms of the third chapter in Spandanirṇaya (the famous Kṣemarāja's commentary on Spandakārikā-s) into Russian language. Since she has so far translated into Russian 42 aphorisms out of 53, she will be finishing her translation of the whole scripture sooner than later. Great effort!
    2. This week or the next one the first book of the upcoming collection of five volumes (for now) will be published at Amazon (and other on-line bookstores). In the meantime I am translating all my previous books in English into Spanish. I already finished three books: Trikamukhyamatāni, a chanting book, and the chanting book for the ritual of worship. They are in revision now and will be published during this year (sooner than later, I hope). I am currently translating Parabhairavayogasaṁsthāpanapracodanam into Spanish. All this work with books prevents me from publishing more often here, on my website. Hopefully, this will change in the future, when I finish my Spanish translations. It is about time then.
    3. Enjoy!

    1. Our collaborators from Brazil, Paulo and Claudio, have translated into Portuguese up to the stanza 86 in Abhinavagupta's Paramārthasāra. This book is a complete mini-encyclopedia about Trika Shaivism. Everybody who is interested in this philosophy should read it. Massive effort! Congratulations!
    2. My wife and collaborator, Natalia Ambikā, has translated the second chapter of Spandanirṇaya into Russian. This chapter deals with the emergence of natural knowledge, i.e. it explains the theoretical and practical aspects of Śivavyāpti (inherence in Śiva). Huge effort!
    3. The first book of the upcoming collection of five volumes (for now) is being edited. It will be published sooner than later, I hope.

  1. 12/15: Tantric Sex: Final volume published! Details

    pic 38

    1. "Tantric Sex - Volume 2 (the final volume)" has been published on Amazon!
    2. Tired of the constant association of Tantra with sex alone, tired of so many distortions in the original teachings, etc., I decided to help alleviate the situation, a little at least. To do so, I decided, first, to translate the whole 29th chapter of venerable Tantrāloka into English, in which Abhinavagupta, its author, speaks about Tantric sex as a part of the complex Kula ceremony (Kula is one of the four schools of Trika Shaivism). Next, I began with the hard task of translating from Sanskrit the complete Jaryaratha's commentary on this very chapter. Finally, I added my own explanations when necessary. Many times, I did not need to explain anything at all since Abhinavagupta and Jayaratha were clear enough, but at other times I needed to add explanations of different extensions according to the complexity of the subject under discussion.
    3. In this final volume there is also a complete glossary of all the Sanskrit words which required an extra definition.
    4. My wife and collaborator, Natalia Ambikā, has translated the first chapter of Spandanirṇaya into Russian. Right now she is in the process of translating the second chapter. Expect a future update of this. Enormous effort!
    5. And right now I am about to finish the first volume in English of a new collection of four or five volumes (the topic will be a surprise!). Also, I plan to translate my books in Spanish in the future. Oh yes, it will be a great effort on my part.
    6. Enjoy!

    1. My wife and collaborator, Natalia Ambikā, has translated a big portion of Spandanirṇaya into Russian since her start in May. She reached up to the aphorism I.21 by now. Great effort!
    2. Right now I am writing another book that is the first volume of a collection of three or four or five (still not deciding). When I finish with this first volume, I will upload the eight chapter of Tantrāloka (already fully translated in English and partly in Spanish). It is a massive chapter with more that 450 stanzas, hence the delay. My task writing books forces me to reduce my time updating this website, unfortunately. Anyway, now you have more Russian translations to quench your thirst for Trika knowledge!
    3. Enjoy!

    1. "Tantric Sex - Volume 1 (out of two volumes)" has been published on Amazon!
    2. Tired of the constant association of Tantra with sex alone, tired of so many distortions in the original teachings, etc., I decided to help alleviate the situation a little at least. To do so, I decided, first, to translate the entire 29th chapter of venerable Tantrāloka into English, in which Abhinavagupta, its author, speaks about Tantric sex as a part of the complex Kula ceremony. 4. Although I finished already the second volume, its edition is still in the works. It will be published as soon as possible.
    5. May you have so much delight reading this book as I had writing it!

    1. "Yajñagītapustakam: Chanting Book for the Ritual of Worship" has been published on Amazon!
    2. I am very happy to present for the first time a chanting book for the 'Yajña' or 'Ritual of Worship'. This small book contains all the mantra-s to successfully perform a 'standard' ritual of worship in the Tantric way. Additionally, I have included information about what to do in every portion of the ceremony. This kind of Worship is exceedingly permeated by the very core of Tantricism, including philosophical viewpoints as well as inner experiences.
    3. This standard Tantric ritual of worship is using the Śrīyantra. Why? Because this yantra or diagram (lit. machine) admits any deity. You can use it for worshiping Parabhairava or any other deity of your choice. That is why it is a 'standard' Tantric ritual of worship.
    4. What makes Tantric ritual unique is that during the act of worship, the practitioners go through the spiritual path, rendered outside as the ritual itself and experienced inside as the Reality behind.
    5. To fully learn how to perform the ritual, check this video where we are carrying out the full ceremony.
    6. Enjoy!
  5. 06/29: Tantrāloka: Chapters 6 and 7 Details

    pic 34

    1. Now, a great announcement: Chapter 6 (part 1 and part 2) and chapter 7 in Tantrāloka are completely translated and published. This amounts to 323 new stanzas totally translated. Near 30% of the whole book is already finished then!
    2. The chapter 7 was extremely difficult to translate. Till now it is the most difficult chapter I have translated. It contains only 71 stanzas but, due to its difficulty, I had to read practically vast portions of the commentary by Jayaratha in order to understand what Abhinavagupta meant to say by all that.
    3. I am translating the chapter 8 beforehand as well. I reached the stanza 120 out of 452 by now!
    4. For you to have an idea of the size of my translations, take into account that Bhagavadgītā (using the same meter as Abhinavagupta here, in Tantrāloka... though Abhinavagupta uses longer meters now and then) contains 700 stanzas. So, with chapters 6 and 7 I translated almost half of Bhagavadgītā. And the total of stanzas I have already translated and published in Tantrāloka amounts to 1728... that is, it is almost 2.5 Bhagavadgītā-s... and I translated them into Spanish too! I mentioned all that for some of you to be patient while I am translating. Yes, it would be fantastic to finish Tantrāloka in one week, but this treatise is extremely long and complex. Without reading the commentary to some extent it is impossible to translate.
    5. Enjoy!
  6. 06/12: GOOD NEWS!: Read here! Details

    pic 31

    1. Good news!!!!: Trikamukhyamatāni - 'Main Tenets of Trika Shaivism' is now available in Kindle version at Amazon (the paper version is hopefully coming in a couple of days). As I explained in advance on the previous news, Trikamukhyamatāni is a ~350 pages book where I explain, in simple terms, the basic teachings of Trika Shaivism (a.k.a. Non-dualistic Kashmir Shaivism). I wrote the book totally in Sanskrit verse by using non-strict Ārya and Āryāgīti meters. It contains 27 stanzas by which I explain the '101' about Trika Shaivism. Of course, there is also the transliteration and translation of every stanza, plus long explanations in prose of their meaning.
    2. Additionally: I finished translating into English the chapter 6 in Tantrāloka. Now I am 'slowly' translating it into Spanish (a super boring task). I mitigate the massive boredom by already translating the chapter 7 (I translated the first 25 stanzas by now).
    3. Enjoy!
  7. 06/01: ANNIVERSARY: 21 YEARS! Details

    pic 20

    ANNIVERSARY: 21 YEARS!

    1. We, all the collaborators, disciples and I, are very happy with this new anniversary of our free and ad-free website! We are celebrating!
    2. This year I did not publish a lot 'yet' because I was working on more books: (1) A ~350 pages book where I explain, in simple terms, the basic teachings of Trika Shaivism (a.k.a. Non-dualistic Kashmir Shaivism) is coming soon this month on Amazon; (2) A ~700 or 800 first volume (editing in process) where I explain Śāmbhavopāya (the highest type of practices) in Parabhairavayoga (a Non-dualistic Kashmir Shaivism-based Yoga I founded in 2016); (3) A ~1000 pages (divided into two volumes of ~500 each) book that is finished and in process of revision now, and that it will be published this year... it will be a surprise for all of you! I wrote the first two books in full Sanskrit from beginning to end. There are transliteration and translation, obviously. There is a fourth little book (less than 100 pages) about one of the rituals we perform in Parabhairavayoga, containing a brief explanation of the ritual itself and, of course, all the mantra-s and diagrams for you to be able to chant like us.
    3. As you can see, I never rest. If I am not working on the website, then I am writing books (~2200 pages of pure knowledge and mantra-s in all those four books). But for the rest of the year, I plan not to write more books (I will continue next year if this body is still alive!). I want to apply my efforts on the website itself. And I am in full process of translating the 6th chapter in Tantrāloka (I already translated into English 107 stanzas out of the 252 the chapter contains). I am devoting many hours to this extremely difficult chapter where Abhinavagupta is also speaking about astrology and mythology. So, I have to study astrology and mythology even more in order to be able to follow his teachings. With Abhinavagupta, due to his magnitude, everything is always uphill. This Master is not for the faint of heart, who just give up at the least obstacle. With Abhinavagupta, practically every stanza is an obstacle, I am not joking. OK, wish me luck!
    4. And now some statistical data. Remember that this website deals with topics that are not very popular in this childish world: (1) ~3000 visits daily. (2) The main countries visiting 'Sanskrit & Trika Shaivism' in 2020 are, in this order: United States, India, Russian Federation, Brazil, Spain, Hungary, Finland, China, Canada, Mexico, Great Britain and Argentina.
    5. Happy anniversary! Enjoy!

    1. More good news!!!! "Foundational principles of Parabhairavayoga" is now available in Kindle version too. This ~700 pages book contains the 92 foundational aphorisms of Parabhairavayoga (a Non-dualistic Kashmir Shaivism-based Yoga Gurujī founded in 2016) in Sanskrit, plus a short commentary also in Sanskrit written by Gurujī. All Sanskrit is obviously translated into English. Additionally, Gurujī has composed a complete explanation in English of the meaning of every aphorism and its respective commentary. The book also contains several charts and a vast glossary for readers to enjoy.
    2. Both the hardcover version and the Kindle version are now available in Europe too. Check this out: Kindle version in United Kingdom, hardcover version in Germany and United Kingdom.
    3. Enjoy!

    1. By my command, my collaborator and wife, Natalia Ambikā, started to translate the sublime scripture called Spandanirṇaya (one of the most important scriptures in Trika Shaivism). Now she has finished to translate the first three documents into Russian language: Spandanirṇaya (Introduction and index), Spandanirṇaya I.1 and I.2, and Spandanirṇaya I.3 to I.5.
    2. It has been a very great effort on her part. Congratulations on that and keep it up with the rest of the scripture!
    3. Enjoy!

    2. This book is the culmination of decades of effort, study and spiritual service of Gurujī Gabriel Pradīpaka.
    3. Moreover, we are announcing that we have added, on our Parabhairava Gallery, all the pics related to the recent visit of Gurujī to Budapest!
    4. Enjoy!
  11. 03/13: Budapest: February-March Details

    pic 29

    1. Now we published a new playlist on our YouTube channel: Budapest, February 2020.
    2. In this new playlist we included all the videos for the two satsaṅga-s and the two-day seminar held by Gurujī in Budapest. The first satsaṅga dealt with: 'Who is meditating?'. The second satsaṅga dealt with: 'How to recognize the true Guru?'. The seminar dealt with selected aphorisms in 'Abhinavagupta's Paramārthasāra'. Paramārthasāra (lit. The essence of the Highest Reality) consists of 105 stanzas dealing with Trika philosophy in general. In this sense, it is like a practical handbook for spiritual aspirants desirous to attain Final Liberation. Gurujī not only explained those stanzas but also the respective commentaries by Yogarāja!
    3. Enjoy!

    1. Our collaborator, Natalia Ambikā, after a great effort, translated these three pages into Russian language: 'How to decline numbers in Sanskrit', 'Tantrāloka: Chapter 1 - stanzas 151 to 300', 'Tantrāloka: Chapter 1 - stanzas 301 to 332'.
    2. Right now, she has started to translate 'Spandanirṇaya' as well.
    3. Congratulations and keep it up!
    4. Enjoy!
  13. 02/06: Tantrāloka: Chapter 29 (full) Details

    pic 27

    1. After millions of hours working, I completely finished the extremely abstruse... and maddening... 29th chapter in Tantrāloka (Part 1 and Part 2). In this chapter, the entire Kula's secret rite or procedure is taught by Abhinavagupta. One part of this rite consists in Tantric sex. That is why I translated this chapter before the predictable 6th chapter in Tantrāloka, in order to shed light on such a topic which has been excessively distorted by ignorant minds (specially in the West).
    2. Someone can find it difficult to understand this chapter. There is no surprise in this. That is why the Jayaratha's commentary exists. But obviously, to translate this commentary I will need more millions of hours. And this is not enough -except you are an accomplished scholar with a right understanding about these practices-, that is to say, I will have to explain the whole thing to you too. Oh well, the entire Tantrāloka is always too heavy, you know!
    3. Enjoy!

2019

  1. 12/29: New pics and videos: Read here! Details

    pic 25

    1. On our YouTube channel, I published all the videos associated with my last visit to the Parabhairavayoga Center in Budapest.
    2. Also, on our Parabhairavayoga Gallery, I published a collection of pictures about that visit. To get the right pictures, you have to surf there through the categories till you reach the pics of November 2019.
    3. I am exactly in the middle of the process of translating more Tantrāloka stuff for you! I will publish a long chapter soon! Stay sharp!
    4. Enjoy!
  2. 12/16: Books: New feature! Details

    pic 25

    1. Amazon released 'Author Central', a new feature which permits all the authors to have their own profiles and books in one place. Of course, I created mine there and included the two books I have already published some time ago. Now you can reach my profile at Amazon and follow my updates: Books (there is a book icon in the navigation bar above for fast access).
    2. I already finished my fourth book totally in Sanskrit!
    3. The third book and the fourth book will be published soon at Amazon.
    4. Moreover, I plan to publish 15 books in a period of two years. Therefore, be ready to receive plenty of updates next year.
    5. Right now I am translating another chapter of Tantrāloka for you here!
    6. Enjoy!
  3. 11/10: Translations news: Read here! Details

    pic 24

    1. Natalia Ambikā was working very hard 'again' on her translations into Russian: (1) Sanskrit numbers (Cardinals), (2) Sanskrit numbers (Ordinals), (3) Tantrāloka - Introduction and (4) Tantrāloka - Chapter 1 (stanzas 1-150). Enormous effort! Congratulations!
    2. I am in the last part of the process of writing my fourth book totally in Sanskrit. It will be a 500 page book, I guess. I hope to publish it at the end of this year or beginning of the next year!
    3. Enjoy!
  4. 09/24: More news: Read here! Details

    pic 23

    1. I published on our 'Parabhairavayoga Gallery' website all the pictures taken during my stay in Budapest in August!
    2. Natalia Ambikā was working very hard on her translations into Russian: (1) How to write in Sanskrit, (2) First strokes 1, (3) First strokes 2, (4) Tables, and (5) Ancient Sanskrit characters. In this way, the translation of the entire Writing section is completed. Congratulations!
    3. I am still writing my fourth book totally in Sanskrit. I finished the first half!
    4. Enjoy!
  5. 09/03: YouTube channel: Update Details

    pic 21

    1. Update for my YouTube channel after my activities in Budapest during two weeks: All the '8 main videos' covering my spiritual activities in Budapest during August are now published on YouTube. Near 900 minutes (15 hours) of footage full of Trika Shaivism knowledge and Tantric ritual!
    2. What is next? Soon, Natalia Ambikā, my wife -generally called 'Gurumā'-, will publish 'on Facebook' short (or sometimes not so short) videos taken with another camera. These videos will show the things from other viewpoints. For example, some of those videos will 'hopefully' show the fire in the ritual (which was not shown in the main video of the ritual as the camera was kept fixed on us, the chanters). Obviously, I will have to edit all those numerous videos first, which is very time-consuming, as usual. I am on the move then! I never rest!
    3. Enjoy!
  6. 08/11: New translations: Read here! Details

    pic 20

    1. On the one hand, our collaborator Natalia Ambikā translated into Russian three new documents: Learning Sanskrit - Sanskrit Quotes 1: Celebrated Sanskrit quotes - Part 1, Learning Sanskrit - First Steps (5): Sanskrit alphabet and the levels of Creation - Part 2 and Learning Sanskrit - First Steps - 1: Appendix of Learning Sanskrit - First Steps (4) and (5). Incredible work! Congratulations!!!
    2. On the other hand, our collaborators Paulo and Claudio finished the translation into Brazilian Portuguese of the stanzas 75 to 78 in Abhinavagupta's Paramārthasāra. Congratulations too!!!
    3. In the meantime, I continue to compose my fourth book, which is written totally in Sanskrit (obviously, I provide too the translation). I completed around one third of it!
    4. Enjoy!
  7. 07/11: Tantrāloka: Chapter 5 Details

    pic 20

    1. The fifth chapter in Tantrāloka, dealing with Āṇavopāya (the means pertaining to 'aṇu' or limited being), is published!
    2. So far I have translated 1114 out of 5847 stanzas (around 19% of the whole scripture).
    3. In this fifth chapter, Abhinavagupta explained: (i) Meditation by means of the intellect, (ii) utterance through the essence of breath, (iii) rising of Consciousness, (iv) entry into the Highest Principle and (v) the characteristic of the path, (vi) concentration in which the organs are used and (vii) the principle of word.
    4. I want now to explain some things: In my translation of the whole Tantrāloka, I include many portions coming directly from Jayaratha's commentary called Viveka. Why? In order to add vital information without which it is practically impossible to understand the Abhinavagupta's teachings. This forces me to read the commentary directly in Sanskrit. Till now, I have read more than 1100 pages out of 4000! I am not joking. And this explains why I delay some time in publishing my translations. But there is another reason for my delays: Books. So far I have written three books this year, and I am going now for the fourth one. They are not very little books really... you know how prolific I am in all I do, right? So, expect the first two books to be not very small indeed (both can count around 800 pages or more). And the fourth one I am about to write could become quite a Bible in size. Consequently, for the publishing of the Tantrāloka's sixth chapter there will be an understandable delay.
    5. Other updates: Dávid Durvāsās translated into Hungarian the entire chapter 3 in Tantrāloka. And Natalia Ambikā translated into Russian the following pages: Learning Sanskrit - First Steps (3), Learning Sanskrit - First Steps (4), Tattvic Chart - Categories of the manifestation according to Trika system and Tattva-s & Sanskrit - Relationship between Sanskrit letters and Trika tattva-s. Congratulations to both on a massive and perfect job!
    6. Enjoy!
  8. 06/01: ANNIVERSARY: 20 YEARS! Details

    pic 20

    ANNIVERSARY: 20 YEARS!

    1. In April of 1999, after having studied many things (Sanskrit, Trika Shaivism, Vedānta, Sāṅkhyayoga, etc.) for sixteen years, I started wondering what to do with all that knowledge. Despite I taught to people in my city at that time, it was not enough. I internally knew that I needed an expansion but I did not know how to do it. Anyway, I continued for some time in a state where I was constantly besieged by thoughts about an expansion. Finally, I decided to ask Parabhairava (the Self of everybody) for a solution to this serious dilemma. In my meditations I began to ask Him about what I had to do to generate an expansion of knowledge. Suddenly, one day, He replied. His inner Voice clearly told me: 'Build a website!'. In my tradition we know that when a message repeats by itself constantly, it comes from the Lord and not from ego. So, I keep asking Him every day about the same thing, and the answer was always the same thing: 'Build a website!'. After having followed this course of action for one month, at last I understood that that message was genuine and not a fantasy of my ego. There was another thing that made me understand that it was His message and not my ideas: I hardly knew what a website was!

So, with the help of the co-founder Andrés Muni (who is not participating in my community right now), I founded the website. Nonetheless, at that time I did not even have a telephone at home (no jokes). Therefore, I had to install one to have Internet, because at the moment one had to have a modem connected to the telephone line to enjoy the Internet. Besides, it was very expensive and restricted by a certain number of hours per month. I remember that I applied for a plan giving me 50 hours every month. Consequently, I had hardly near 2 hours daily. After all that hassle I started to learn how to build a basic website. The first location for the website was some place in the Geocities neighborhood. At first, I did not have domain name and a private paid server, obviously. This would come later. My first program to design the website was a very basic and uncomfortable Adobe GoLive. It was a pain to work with that software indeed. I currently use Dreamweaver, of course. I worked off-line in the building of the pages, and in my almost 2 hours per day Internet limit I uploaded the new contents and surfed the Web for more knowledge about how to build a website even better. The first page I uploaded (the oldest one at the website) was 'Learning Sanskrit - First Steps (1)'. But this is the current name. Its first name was something like: 'Sanskrit in Argentina - 1'. An absolutely nationalist name indeed, I must confess!

All the primitive website was in simple HTML (no CSS, let alone PHP). I was studying and polishing the website for five years till in 2004 I could present something more or less 'acceptable' to be called 'a website' (I abandoned a couple of years ago the domain name 'sanskrit-sanscrito.com.ar', as you surely know). Additionally, I added a satellite Blog. At first, there was no IAST (International Alphabet of Sanskrit Transliteration) available in Unicode fonts like now. I used a primitive ANSI font called 'Sanskrit 98' till 2003, when I moved to the 'Sanskrit 2003' font (an Unicode font). And this lack of support for IAST forced me to create my own transliteration system, the ASTHA (Alphabet of Sanskrit Transliteration for HTML, made in Argentina), haha! I was very Argentinian at that moment, it seems!

The constant advance of technology forced me to learn new things and to polish the entire website. For example, I spent an insane number of hours converting the ASTHA to modern IAST in the whole website, I spent one month of my life only to convert HTML to XHTML Strict, etc. Along with those vigorous efforts to keep the website so updated as possible, I continued to publish long pages full of relevant content. Additionally, in 2005, being my work on the website so demanding, I decided not to earn my living anymore in order to dedicate all my time to the website. In 2009, the site expanded to another language: Brazilian Portuguese. The Brazilian collaborators started to arrive. I had to do a lot of work to include the new language certainly. At that time, the website was still a static one, which implied that all the changes had to be 'manually made'. In 2010, with my attainment of Liberation and Guruhood, the website started to be more specifically related to Trika Shaivism. Anyway, I did not change the site title and the domain name yet.

In 2012, at last, a professional Hungarian programmer came to me and proposed to move the whole website to a dynamic format based on PHP and HTML 5. I accepted and he was working really hard for some months. We were in constant contact in order to keep the process moving in the right way. Millions of emails were written in the whole process, as you surely guess. On November 12, we could finally publish the new dynamic format of the website. It was a very drastic change for the better! And though I changed the design two times since then, the website never abandoned its solid dynamic nature. In 2014, a Hungarian collaborator proposed me to expand the website even more in order to include a section in Hungarian language. I accepted and the process of updating started. Again, all this consumed an insane number of hours! To keep a website moving you need to work a lot really. At the end of such a tremendous effort, the Hungarian section was available to visitors. Now the website could boast about having four versions in four languages. And in 2015, another language was added: Russian! And finally, at the end of 2016, the last language was added: Hindi. All in all, the website currently supports 6 languages.

At the end of 2016, I moved to a new fast server (a VPS), and in August of 2017 I decided to change the title and URL of the website from 'Sanskrit & Sánscrito' and 'sanskrit-sanscrito.com.ar' to 'Sanskrit & Trika Shaivism' and 'sanskrit-trikashaivism.com'. Why? I changed the title because 'Sanskrit & Sánscrito' was created when the website was in English and Spanish only. With the addition of four more languages, the title stopped communicating the real content of the website. Besides, the old .com.ar URL demanded a extremely bureaucratic process to renovate every year (remember that I live in Moscow and Argentina is very far). While I kept the old international URL ( 'sanskrit-sanscrito.com'), I implemented a new URL which could communicate the real content of the website: 'sanskrit-trikashaivism.com'.

Over these 20 years, I have fully translated several scriptures such as Śivasūtra-s, Śivasūtravimarśinī, Spandakārikā-s, Spandanirṇaya, Paramārthasāra, Pātañjalayogasūtra-s, etc. And many other scriptures are in process such as Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa, Ṣaṭtriṁśattattvasandoha, Tantrāloka, etc. To translate scriptures (let alone to explain them to the visitors) is very time consuming as I have to check that the meanings of many terms are completely accurate. This forces me to read a lot. For example, to currently translate Tantrāloka, I am reading practically the whole Jayaratha's commentary directly from Sanskrit. The process is hellish, obviously. And to make the things even more complicated, my method of translation is a word for word one. Why I am translating word for word and not as most translators do, i.e. in a running way? For two reasons: Because in this way, if someone is doubtful about my translation of a certain term, he can search it in a Sanskrit dictionary. Moreover, this website also deals with Sanskrit language. Therefore, it is very useful for Sanskrit students to have a scripture completely dismantled. In this way they can see the way it was assembled by the original author.

If I reached this point in the development of my teachings, it is all due to the website, which was built by express command of the Great Lord. For example, through mysterious processes, the website brought me to Moscow, from where I could expand my teachings much faster and so on. There is a mystery in His commands that cannot be unraveled at first. One just must do His bidding to the letter and everything will be OK. I have just done that!

Allow me to express my heartfelt thanks to the currently active collaborators, i.e. to Paulo and Claudio from Brazil, to Marlon Melin from Canada, to Dávid Durvāsās and Tamás István Énisz from Hungary, and to my own wife, Natalia Ambikā, from Russia. Also, my sincere thanks to Zoltán Kṣemarāja (the developer) who, despite not participating in my community right now, continues to help me from time to time when the website needs some technical fix. Furthermore, I want to extend my thanks to all the people who collaborated with me to expand the website, but who, for the nature itself of the Play of Parabhairava, are now gone. It has been a 20 years adventure into the Massive Being of the Great Lord indeed!

Finally, I consider this website to be my 'sevā' or service to Parabhairava (the Supreme Being). Therefore, in spite of the upcoming expansions in my mission, I will continue to strive to keep the website as it has been so far: A totally free website totally devoid of advertising. May the Supreme Bhairava be pleased with my service!
    2. And now some statistical data. Remember that this website deals with topics that are not very popular in this world. I guess that if I published a website about Yoga postures, I would be receiving more visitors: (1) 2000 to 3000 visits daily. (2) The main countries visiting 'Sanskrit & Trika Shaivism' are, in this order: United States, India, Spain, Brazil, Canada, Argentina, Russian Federation, Mexico, Great Britain and Hungary.
    3. Happy anniversary! Enjoy!
  9. 05/28: Tantrāloka: Chapter 4 (part 2/2) Details

    pic 19

    1. Now it is finally published the second last portion (stanzas 151 to 279) of the fourth chapter in Tantrāloka!
    2. The fourth chapter in Tantrāloka, dealing with Śāktopāya (the means pertaining to Śakti), is completely finished.
    3. So far, I have translated 955 out of 5847 stanzas (around 16% of the whole scripture).
    4. In this fourth chapter, Abhinavagupta explained: (i) Purification of vikalpa-s, (ii) the essence of superior logic, (iii) the real nature of the Guru, (iv) uselessness of the limbs of Yoga, (v) disregard for the artificial worship, etc., (vi) emergence of the wheels of Consciousness, (vii) the power of the mantra-s, (viii) the real nature of a muttered prayer, etc. (and) (ix) equality of rules and prohibitions.
    5. Now I am going for the fifth chapter!
    6. Enjoy!
  10. 04/28: More translations: Read here! Details

    pic 18

    1. Our collaborator Natalia Ambikā finished her translation into Russian of Learning Sanskrit - First Steps (2). Congratulations on your great effort!
    2. I finished my Parabhairavayoga book!
    3. But I started a second small book about Trika Shaivism. I had to write 40 aphorisms in Sanskrit and in verse. At this moment I am about to finish the second book... and there will be no third book for now. I plan to publish both books during this year.
    4. After finishing my second book, I will be able to continue with my translation of Tantrāloka here.
    5. Enjoy!
  11. 03/24: Sanskrit Editor NUI: New software! Details

    pic 18

    1. Our collaborator Marlon Melin launched a new version of his software: Sanskrit Editor NUI.
    2. Marlon explains what brand-new Sanskrit Editor NUI is: "Sanskrit Editor NUI - defaults to Microsoft Nirmala UI font for Devanāgarī script (available on Windows 8.1 and up) . Use this version if you are unable to install fonts on your computer due to Administrator restrictions. This will fix the issue of the script showing as little boxes instead of characters. For best results always use the original version with recommended fonts if possible (unless you have a preference for Nirmala UI!)".
    3. So, Sanskrit Editor NUI changes the default Devanāgarī Sanskrit font from 'Sanskrit 2003' to 'Nirmala UI'. This is very important for people who cannot install fonts (in this case 'Sanskrit 2003') due to restrictions by Administrator. This situation is very likely to happen when one is in his job. The new Sanskrit Editor NUI comes to help people out of that issue. Good work, Marlon!
    4. I am almost finishing my Parabhairavayoga book. Just adding charts and stuff like this. It will be published during this year, I hope.
    5. Enjoy!
  12. 03/07: Brand-new translations: Read here! Details

    pic 17

    1. Natalia Ambikā, our collaborator, translated into Russian Learning Sanskrit - First Steps (1) [our oldest page on the website]. Awesome!
    2. Additionally, she also translated into Russian both the Traditional arrangement of the Sanskrit alphabet and A better variant arrangement of the Sanskrit alphabet. Congratulations!
    3. My work on the Parabhairavayoga book is taking me longer than planned. Though the main content of the book is already written, now I am adding more stuff (I have a tendency to make the things huge, you know). Besides, the size of the glossary will be enormous (till now around 400 entries). It will be the basic book for students of Parabhairavayoga. As always, in practice the things are not so simple as in theory. Anyway, I plan to finish the whole thing this month.
    4. Enjoy!
  13. 02/11: Tantrāloka: Chapter 4 (part 1/2) Details

    pic 16

    1. Now it is published the first portion (stanzas 1 to 150) of the fourth chapter in Tantrāloka!
    2. The fourth chapter in Tantrāloka deals with Śāktopāya (the means pertaining to Śakti). In this first part, Abhinavagupta explains the purification of the vikalpa-s (putting it simple, 'thoughts'), the essence of superior logic, the real nature of the Guru, uselessness of the limbs of Yoga (of Patañjali's Yoga), disregard for the artificial worship, etc., and he starts to explain the emergence of the wheels of Consciousness (a topic he will complete in the second part).
    3. So far, I have translated 826 out of 5847 stanzas (around 14% of the whole scripture).
    4. It has been a very hard translation due to the complexities of the subjects being dealt with (and Abhinavagupta's Sanskrit is never a stroll in the park). I needed practically all the time the help of the Jayaratha's commentary in Sanskrit too (not so hard as that of Abhinavagupta, but anyway it is not simple because the topics are not simple at all). Very deep teachings then.
    5. The whole fourth chapter contains 279 stanzas. Therefore, the remaining 129 stanzas will be published in the near future.
    6. Now I need two weeks or so to complete my book about Parabhairavayoga. Indexes, glossary, etc. will be written later (oh yes, it is a very hard work really). This book will be a kind of main book on Parabhairavayoga. In short, it will be the corner-stone of all the teachings on which my Yoga is based. I plan to publish it during this year! After this short but hard work, I will continue with Tantrāloka.
    7. I never stop and even when I look like resting only, I am not just resting but creating something new in my intellect!
    8. Ah! Something much bigger is also slowly but firmly approaching! I will leave you with the mystery!
    9. Enjoy!
  14. 01/31: New translations: Read attentively! Details

    pic 15

    1. Dávid Durvāsās, our collaborator, finished translating the first portion (stanzas 1 to 150) of the third chapter in Tantrāloka into Hungarian. Very good job!
    2. Natalia Ambikā, another collaborator, finished translating into Russian the last portion of section 3 in Śivasūtravimarśinī. With this update, Natalia has completely finished the entire Śivasūtravimarśinī. Congratulations on this immense effort!
    3. Both collaborators continue to work on more stuff, of course.
    4. On my part, I continue to work (half-way by now) on the fourth chapter of Tantrāloka. There will be an update soon!
    5. Enjoy!
  15. 01/23: Tantrāloka: Chapter 3 (part 2/2) Details

    pic 14

    1. The second part of the third chapter in Tantrāloka is finished. And with this update, I can affirm that the whole third chapter is now completely translated.
    2. In this second part, Abhinavagupta finishes his explanation of Mātṛkācakra (The group of letters), and after that he makes an exposition about Pratyāhāra (the combination of the first letter and the last letter of the Sanskrit alphabet).
    3. Śāmbhavopāya, the means of Śambhu, is called by Abhinavagupta: 'Dissolution of the mind'. It is characterized by the absence of thoughts and the constant rising (the State of Śiva is constantly active).
    4. Now I continue working on chapter 4 —dealing with Śāktopāya— of this beautiful scripture!
    5. Enjoy!
  16. 01/06: Tantrāloka: Chapter 3 (part 1/2) Details

    pic 13

    1. Now the first 150 stanzas of the chapter 3 in Tantrāloka about Śāmbhavopāya are totally translated!
    2. By means of these aphorisms, Abhinavagupta explains completely the Bimbapratimbimbavāda (The theory of the object and its reflection). Next, he starts to explain Mātṛkācakra (The group of letters), a topic that he will finish in the remaining stanzas of the third chapter.
    3. Our collaborator Dávid Durvāsās finished his translation from English into Hungarian of the second chapter in Tantrāloka. Congratulations again!!!
    4. Enjoy!

2018

  1. 12/18: Tantrāloka: Chapter 2 Details

    pic 12

    1. The second chapter in Tantrāloka is finished. I will add notes of explanation in the future.
    2. This second chapter deals with Anupāya (lit. devoid of means). This is the Highest State in Trika Shaivism. Two kinds of people reach that condition: (1) It is the Final State that a Yogī attains, generally, after endless years of massive efforts. (2) Very few 'specially blessed' people can enter this stage from the start due to a very intense Grace bestowal from Śiva.
    3. In Anupāya there is nothing to do (no meditation, no worship, no study of scriptures, etc.). It is simply the uninterrupted State of the Supreme Śiva, which, once It is attained, permits the Yogī to continue with his life as usual. If he is eating, he keeps eating, if he is speaking, he keeps speaking, etc. There is no sādhanā in this, as it were, 'path'.
    4. Our collaborator Dávid Durvāsās finished translating into Hungarian the second page and the third page of the first chapter in Tantrāloka. Congratulations!
    5. Now I continue working on chapter 3 —dealing with Śāmbhavopāya— of this very important scripture!
    6. Enjoy!
  2. 12/10: Tantrāloka: Improvement in the index page Details

    pic 11

    1. I polished the index page of Tantrāloka so that it can now be much more useful.
    2. I added three features: (a) I replaced the previous titles of every chapter with the original titles given by Abhinavagupta in Sanskrit at the end of the first chapter; (b) I added the respective translations of the titles of the chapters, obviously; (c) I added a short description —given by Abhinavagupta at the end of the first chapter— of every chapter for the visitors to have a good idea about the contents which are included there.
    3. Now I go on working on chapter 2 of this very important scripture!
    4. Enjoy!
  3. 12/08: Tantrāloka: Chapter 1 (part 3/3) Details

    pic 10

    1. Good news! With the publication of the translation of the stanzas 301 to 332 in Tantrāloka, the entire chapter 1 is completely translated!
    2. According to what Abhinavagupta wrote at the end of the first chapter, this book is only for 'super' Guru-s. Look:
'Guru-s are authorized to examine/discuss (these teachings of mine) who have (their three) mala-s destroyed, who know the supreme and the inferior --i.e. who know 'a' and 'ha'--, who are established in the real being of Śiva'.
With this in mind, there is no surprise if most people cannot understand 'something' in Tantrāloka. On top of that, I am not adding yet the notes of explanation. So, my point here is that you should not feel frustrated if after reading you still cannot fully get it. It requires a hight level of scholarship and direct experience.
    3. My work on this scripture continues!
    4. Enjoy!
  4. 12/05: New translations: Read! Details

    pic 9

    1. First of all, our collaborator Dávid Durvāsās finished his English to Hungarian translation of the first chapter in Tantrāloka. And the index page was translated too, of course. Congratulations!
    2. Secondly, Natalia Ambikā finished her English to Russian translation of the aphorisms III.23 to III.33 in Śivasūtravimarśinī. Congratulations too!
    3. Well, our Hungarian and Russian translators are working hard evidently. It is a massive effort to translate such intricate scriptures full of so many complicated technical terms in Sanskrit indeed. Keep it up!
    4. Enjoy!
  5. 11/28: Tantrāloka: Chapter 1 (part 2/3) Details

    pic 8

    1. Another big effort and the stanzas 150 to 300 in Tantrāloka (chapter 1 dealing with the different kinds of knowledge) are now fully translated.
    2. The scholarly style of Abhinavagupta is becoming more and more difficult. No surprise in this! He uses special terminology now and and then, which is extremely difficult to translate. Also, his writing style is involved enough as to say that half of the effort with every stanza is exerted to overcome this obstacle. Again, no surprise! Abhinavagupta has been always the bogeyman in Trika Shaivism and there are serious reasons for him to be labeled like this.
    3. Only 32 stanzas are left to finish the first chapter then. A little more effort and it will be done.
    4. Enjoy!
  6. 11/01: Tantrāloka: Chapter 1 (part 1/3) Details

    pic 7

    1. First of all: The first 150 stanzas of Tantrāloka (chapter 1 dealing with the different kinds of knowledge) are completely translated. Enormous effort really! A high IQ is not enough to do that, you need extra help from Paramaśiva. Apart from this help, I constantly resorted to the Jayaratha's commentary for some light too. Without this extra help you cannot cross the ocean of knowledge in Tantrāloka even if your intellect is quite a champion. What is divine cannot be understood by what is not divine. I am very happy!!!!
    2. Dávid Durvāsās (ex Dávid Farkas) was working a lot too. He finished (1) the second chapter of Mālinīvijayottaratantra; (2) the Part 3 (stanzas 3 to 4) in Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa and (3) the Part 4 (stanzas 3 to 4) in the same scripture. Incredible effort!!!!
    3. We are extremely pleased!!!!!!!
    4. Enjoy!
  7. 10/20: Several news: Read! Details

    pic 6

    1. Natalia Ambikā published her Russian translation of Śivasūtravimarśinī III.12-22. Congratulations on your strenuous efforts, Gurumā!
    2. Dávid Farkas completely finished his Hungarian translation of Spandanirṇaya. Now he has started his translation into Hungarian of Mālinīvijayottaratantra, and the first chapter of this scripture is already available! Massive effort, Dávid!
    3. In the meantime, I, Gabriel Pradīpaka, have finished translating the first 95 stanzas of the first chapter in Tantrāloka. Did you think I had gone away on vacation? Nope, I am always working hard in the shadows. I will be able to publish my translation of the first 150 stanzas of this initial chapter in the near future, I hope, because to fight this terrifying monster is never an easy task for any intellect. The depth of Abhinavagupta's teachings forces me to read many other things apart from Tantrāloka (e.g. other scriptures, commentaries, one million possible interpretations and things like that). This is always a time-consuming process, hence the delay. Sanskrit is always the least of the problems when it comes to translating Abhinavagupta's writings.
    4. Enjoy!
  8. 10/07: Mālinīvijayottaratantra: Chapter 4 Details

    pic 5

    1. I published my translation and explanation of the 4th chapter of Mālinīvijayottaratantra.
    2. In this chapter our beloved Śiva speaks about many mysteries: e.g. the relationship between Mātṛkā/Mālinī and the tattva-s, the different types of Yoga and Knowledge, etc.
    3. Because in all my explanations of Mālinīvijayottaratantra I have to translate many aphorisms occurring in Tantrāloka, possibly I will soon undertake the translation of the whole Tantrāloka (but without any explanation, in order to move faster) so in my future explanations of Mālinīvijayottaratantra I do not have to translate so many aphorisms from Tantrāloka. As both scriptures are complementary, what I do in one is useful for the other. Explanations of Tantrāloka should come later, when Mālinīvijayottaratantra is finally finished. Oh yes, this will take a few years of very hard work, but the final result will be a massive treasure of Trika knowledge available for free.
    4. Enjoy!
  9. 09/24: The Tour: Read! Details

    pic 4

    1. What is the point of spending plenty of time searching for what you want to find on the website? Simply visit the Tour (look up!).
    2. I specially built the Tour for making searching stuff here much faster and intuitive. This is accomplished by presenting the information in a very organized way.
    3. So, instead of spending hours trying to find something, instead of sending me messages for help about finding what you need, it is a much better solution to use the Tour really.
    4. Enjoy!
  10. 09/20: Other two important news: Read! Details

    pic 4

    1. I completely updated the Tour, e.g. I updated the innumerable links in the Russian and Hindi sections, I updated my recommendations about browsers and so on.
    2. I updated the Privacy and Security Statement, specially regarding cookies.
    3. We are not collecting information from our visitors in order to create profiles and things like this. The use of cookies here is for tasks that are strictly indispensable for the functioning of the website. Anyway, we use, to a very limited extent, the services of Facebook, Google and Paypal. In this case, you must abide by their own policy about use of cookies.
    4. Enjoy!
  11. 09/18: Two important news: Read! Details

    pic 3

    1. Natalia Ambikā finished her translation into Russian of the 1st to 11th aphorism in Kṣemarāja's Śivasūtravimarśinī (third section). Good work!
    2. The Parabhairavayoga Gallery has been updated with all the pictures of 2018.
    3. Parabhairavayoga Gallery is one of our three websites (the other two are Parabhairavayoga.com and the one you are on right now). It is dedicated to show pictures of Guru Gabriel Pradīpaka (Gurujī) along with disciples and family during his mission of spreading the teachings of his own Parabhairavayoga system. Additional photos of Gurujī's daily life are shown as well.
    4. Enjoy!
  12. 09/15: Tantrāloka: Full transcription Details

    pic 2

    1. I transcribed the entire Tantrāloka (a massive Trika scripture composed by Abhinavagupta, the greatest Trika Master of all time).
    2. It was a tremendous effort on my part, but now the scripture is ready to be translated.
    3. Now you have 330 new documents (55 per language) here. So the size of our website increased its number of documents in around 17% all of sudden.
    4. When I translate this scripture in the future, I plan on adding, as always, my own explanations. So, it will become an immense source of Trika knowledge available for free in many languages.
    5. Enjoy!
  13. 09/13: Navigation bar: Updated and polished Details

    pic 1

    1. The navigation bar (look up!) has been updated and polished with new links.
    2. There are new links to our Facebook Page, to our YouTube Channel and to the mini-biography of Gurujī and other collaborators.
    3. Also, we are 'testing' a new way to show news on the website (e.g. by adding pictures to make the news more colorful). Additionally, the plan is to post more frequently news about different topics, e.g. about guiding our visitors to different areas of our website.
    4. If everything is OK with this prototype regarding showing news, the new system will be permanent.
    5. Enjoy!
  14. 07/22: Mālinīvijayottaratantra: Full transcription Details
    1. I transcribed all the remaining stanzas (since chapter 4 to chapter 23) of Mālinīvijayottaratantra. Now the full text is transcribed into devanāgarī (original signs) and IAST transliteration.
    2. Of course, I had to do all this for the other five languages too. Huge effort!
    3. Enjoy!
  15. 07/13: DFSL updated: Read the news! Details
    1. After a long task of 'purification', now the DFSL (Directory of Free Sanskrit Links) is totally 'up-to-date'.
    2. Because I did not touch the DFSL for some years, I had to remove many websites which had been discontinued. Besides, I made the most of this opportunity to score the websites without score yet, and also I 're-scored' some other websites.
    3. I also added a few new websites!
    4. Enjoy!
  16. 06/25: Two things: Read the news! Details
    1. After my seminar in Budapest —since June 1st to June 3rd— I published on my YouTube channel the six long videos (more than 17 hours) in which I briefly explained the teachings contained in the celebrated Śivasūtra-s (The aphorisms of Śiva).
    2. Our collaborator Sāī Abhinavagupta changed the software on which our DFSL (Directory of Free Sanskrit Links) was running. The old DFSL software was very good but already too old after serving for fourteen years without updates as the developer discontinued it. After all this hard time-consuming work, now we can say that the whole website is running on fully modern technology. Great effort, Sāī!
    3. Enjoy!
  17. 05/21: Mālinīvijayottaratantra: Chapter 3 Details
    1. I published the third chapter of Mālinīvijayottaratantra containing 68 stanzas (the most sacred Tantra of Trika Shaivism).
    2. In this chapter Śiva extracts (but in a veiled way) tons of mantra-s which are sacred to the śaiva-s.
    3. Natalia Ambikā translated the second section of Śivasūtravimarśinī into Russian language. Great effort!
    4. Dávid Farkas (Dávid Durvāsās) translated the Main Page of Mālinīvijayottaratantra (introduction and links to the chapters). Congratulations!
    5. May all this massive effort be for the elevation of all the sincere devotees of Śiva!
    6. Enjoy!
  18. 04/04: Seminar in Budapest: First three days of June, 2018 Details

    Gabriel Pradīpaka

    1. This is the schedule of my next seminar in Hungary during the first three days of June.
    2. The subject to be dealt with in this seminar will be 'Śivasūtra-s' (the aphorisms of Śiva revealed by Śiva Himself twelve centuries ago in the region of Kashmir, India). This scripture contains the most esoteric teachings of Trika Shaivism. It consists of 77 aphorisms revealed to the venerable sage Vasugupta. There are several commentaries on these aphorisms but Kṣemarāja's Śivasūtravimarśinī is regarded as the most authoritative one. Sage Kṣemarāja was the main disciple of the greatest Trika Master: Abhinavagupta. I will include some portions of his vast commentary in the seminar.
    3. Also, there is more information about this important event on the Hungarian Trika Page on Facebook.
    4. And my disciples in Hungary also created an event in Allevents.in.
    5. In addition, there is a group on Facebook exclusively created to speak about my upcoming seminar in Budapest.
    6. Enjoy!
  19. 03/29: Mālinīvijayottaratantra: Chapter 2 Details
    1. I published the second chapter of Mālinīvijayottaratantra (the most sacred Tantra of Trika Shaivism).
    2. I added my complete explanation of each of 60 stanzas.
    3. Enjoy!
  20. 03/01: Mālinīvijayottaratantra: Chapter 1 Details
    1. With the publication of the first chapter containing 50 stanzas, my translation of vast Mālinīvijayottaratantra (the most sacred Tantra of Trika Shaivism) starts!
    2. May my effort increase the welfare of all genuine followers of the Great Śiva!
    3. Enjoy!
  21. 02/15: Spandanirṇaya IV.1 to IV.2: Read the news! Details
    1. I published the translation/commentaries/explanations of the entire fourth section of Spandanirṇaya (the most authoritative commentary on Spandakārikā-s, which was written by the great Kṣemarāja). My work on the fourth section of Spandanirṇaya is now finished! And with this, I can announce that the whole Spandanirṇaya has been then translated and explained by me completely! May there be welfare for all!
    2. It took me many months of strenuous efforts to finish such a sacred scripture. If you print it out, you will get a few hundreds of pages indeed! I dedicate all my work to Paramaśiva, of whose Body this colossal universe is just a small particle situated in a corner of His Being!
    3. I am already working hard with the next scripture!
    4. Enjoy!
  22. 02/08: Multiple update: Read the news! Details
    1. Our collaborator Dávid Farkas translated into Hungarian the third section (only aphorisms 1 to 10) in Kṣemarāja's Spandanirṇaya. Besides, he also finished translating Parts 1 and 2 of the stanzas 3 and 4 in Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa. Congratulations Dávid on your immense efforts!
    2. Additionally, our collaborator Natalia Ambikā translated into Russian the aphorisms 11 to 22 in Kṣemarāja's Śivasūtravimarśinī. Now the entire first section of this crucial scripture is totally in Russian language. Congratulations, Natalia!
    3. Finally, our collaborator Marlon Melin updated all of his software to new versions. Go and download his programs then! Congratulations, Marlon!
    4. Enjoy our multiple update!

    1. I published the translation/commentaries/explanations of the aphorisms 11 to 19 in the third section of Spandanirṇaya (the most authoritative commentary on Spandakārikā-s, which was written by the great Kṣemarāja). My work on the third section of Spandanirṇaya is now finished!
    2. I am intent on completing the fourth section (the last part of this scripture)!
    3. Enjoy!

2017

  1. 12/30: Spandanirṇaya III.1 to III.10: Read the news! Details
    1. I published the translation/commentaries/explanations of the aphorisms 1 to 10 in the third section of Spandanirṇaya (the most authoritative commentary on Spandakārikā-s, which was written by the great Kṣemarāja). My work on the third section of Spandanirṇaya is just half finished!
    2. Now I am ready to complete the remaining half!
    3. Enjoy!
  2. 12/09: Huge update: Read the news! Details
    1. Gurujī was in Ganeshpuri (India) —the holy land of his spiritual lineage— during the month of November!
    2. The work of Gurujī there brought these new things to you: (1) Huge seminar published on YouTube, (2) Our Parabhairavayoga gallery was also updated with the numerous new photos, and (3) Our Page on Facebook was similarly updated with all the news and media.
    3. Apart from the video update on YouTube, the channel itself was completely revamped.

    5. Additionally, our collaborators were working hard as well: (1) Dávid Farkas translated into Hungarian the entire second section in Spandanirṇaya (massive job!) and (2) Natalia Ambikā finished translating into Russian the first ten aphorisms in Śivasūtravimarśinī (another huge effort!).
    6. Enjoy!

    1. Our collaborator from Canada, Marlon Melin, updated all of his three programs for them to work better on Windows 10!
    2. Congratulations, Marlon, as always!
    3. Enjoy!
  4. 10/21: Spandanirṇaya Section 2 (complete): Read the news! Details
    1. I published the translation/commentaries/explanations of the entire second section of Spandanirṇaya (the most authoritative commentary on Spandakārikā-s, which was written by the great Kṣemarāja). This second section consists only of seven aphorisms, but their meaning is extremely deep. This forced me to explain many crucial topics at length. So, yes, it is a very long page, maybe the longest one I have ever published.
    2. Now, I am already starting to translate the first aphorisms of the third section.
    3. Enjoy!
  5. 09/17: Spandanirṇaya I.22 to I.25: Read the news! Details
    1. I published the translation/commentaries/explanations of the aphorisms 22 to 25 in the first section of Spandanirṇaya (the most authoritative commentary on Spandakārikā-s, which was written by the great Kṣemarāja) and by this, I can announce that I finished my work with the first section of Spandanirṇaya.
    2. Now I am gaining momentum and pressing hard forward!
    3. Besides, our collaborator Natalia Ambikā finished her translation into Russian of Practices in Parabhairavayoga - Part 2 on the blog, and now she is starting her translation of Śivasūtravimarśinī. Excellent effort!
    4. Enjoy!
  6. 09/02: Spandanirṇaya I.17 to I.21: Read the news! Details
    1. After three years without translating any Trika scripture here, on the Main Website, I retake my task now by publishing the translation/commentaries/explanations of the aphorisms 19 to 21 in the first section of Spandanirṇaya (the most authoritative commentary on Spandakārikā-s, which was written by the great Kṣemarāja).
    2. I hope you are glad with the sudden update!
    3. Enjoy!
  7. 08/25: More translations: Read the news! Details
    1. Dávid Farkas translated in Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa (the most difficult Trika scripture) up to the fourth Part of stanzas 1 and 2. So, he completely finished translating into Hungarian the first two stanzas and their commentaries by now.
    2. The Brazilian twins, our collaborators, translated up to the stanza 74 (and its respective commentary) in Abhinavagupta's Paramārthasāra.
    3. Congratulations, collaborators, on your great job!
    4. Enjoy!
  8. 08/24: New URL and TITLE: Read here! Details

THIS WEBSITE HAS CHANGED BOTH ITS DOMAIN NAME AND TITLE!

    1. NEW DOMAIN NAME: « Sanskrit-trikashaivism.com » —the old domain name, Sanskrit-sanscrito.com, still works in the background, of course, and instantly redirects you to the new domain name—.
    2. NEW TITLE: « Sanskrit & Trika Shaivism » (old title: Sanskrit & Sánscrito). The website has evolved during these eighteen years, and we thought that a change was necessary to express the current state of the things. At first, I called the website 'Sanskrit & Sánscrito' because it included a section in English and another one in Spanish. However, over the years, with the addition of the Portuguese, Hungarian, Russian and Hindi sections (in this order), the title of the website stopped being truthful. Besides, Trika Shaivism (the great Non-dual Shaivism of Kashmir) was gradually increasing its importance on our site up to the point of practically occupying the whole attention. For this reason, the new title is including the name of this crucial philosophical system of northern India. This will also make the searches relating to Trika Shaivism easier and more significant.
    3. In a nutshell, we keep both domain names: Sanskrit-trikashaivism.com and Sanskrit-sanscrito.com (new and old, respectively) for visitors not to have any issue finding us.
    4. WARNING: WE ABANDONED « Sanskrit-sanscrito.com.ar » domain name. Therefore, any future website using this domain name HAS NO RELATIONSHIP AT ALL WITH US.
    5. People giving us backlinks, please, update such links on your pages from the old/abandoned Sanskrit-sanscrito.com.ar (as well as from the fully working Sanskrit-sanscrito.com) to the new Sanskrit-trikashaivism.com
    6. Enjoy!
  9. 07/19: An enormous update: Read the news! Details
    1. Dávid Farkas, our collaborator, finished translating venerable Abhinavagupta's Paramārthasāra into Hungarian. (Congratulations, Dávid!)
    2. Not pleased with finishing that huge translation, he started translating Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa (the most difficult Trika scripture). He translated by now the introduction and the first part of stanzas 1 and 2. (Awesome, Dávid!)
    3. Our collaborator Natalia Ambikā (also known as Gurumā) finished on the Blog her massive translation of my "Short commentary on Parabhairavayogasaṁsthāpanapracodanam" - (Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3) into Russian. (Excellent!)
    4. And she continued to translate on the Blog: Practices in Parabhairavayoga - Part 1. (Keep it up!)
    5. Hopefully, you are glad with the enormous updates!
    6. Enjoy!
  10. 05/24: Another important Blog update: Read the news! Details
    1. I published at the blog 'the second part of my long dissertation about practices in Parabhairavayoga'!
    2. In this second part I teach about Śāmbhavopāya, the easiest and at the same time the most difficult method in Trika Shaivism. Even I added my own experience with Śāmbhavopāya so that the readers can get to know this method in a more practical way.
    3. In venerable Abhinavagupta's Paramārthasāra, Dávid Farkas, our collaborator, translated the stanzas 51 to 70 (plus commentary and notes)... another huge jump!... into Hungarian. Great effort! Only 35 stanzas are left to be translated. Almost there then!
    4. Enjoy!
  11. 03/26: Blog update: Read the news! Details
    1. I began at the blog my 'long dissertation about practices in Parabhairavayoga'!

    3. In venerable Abhinavagupta's Paramārthasāra, Dávid Farkas, our collaborator, translated stanzas 12 to 50 (plus commentary and notes)... an enormous jump!!!... into Hungarian. Awesome effort!
    4. Enjoy!

    https://www.parabhairavayoga.com

  2. 12/21: New Blog: Read more! Details
    1. The Blog has been 'fully' redesigned! Now it is the Parabhairavayoga's Home.
    2. The new design is completely professional and includes new characteristics like featured videos and posts, direct connection with our Page on Facebook, etc.
    3. Now the Blog is quite a website residing at Parabhairavayoga.com (not only different URL but different IP address too).
    4. In a nutshell, the Blog will be the dwelling-place of all our major publications about the brand-new Parabhairavayoga!
    5. Do you want more? You have it!: The Main Website has also been totally redesigned! The design is also professional, obviously. Now it looks like an old parchment with Indian temples on top. The font was accordingly changed too from Andika to Gentium for desktop and printing (we keep Andika for tablets and phones for readability reasons) in order to complement the new good 'old-style'.
    6. Do you want even more? You have it again!: The Brazilian twins expanded their translation of Abhinavagupta's Paramārthasāra till the stanza 35 (and respective long commentary)! My congratulations to Paulo and Claudio for such a massive effort!
    7. Our collaborator Dávid Farkas started his translation of the same scripture but into Hungarian, of course. Well done!
    8. OK, it has been a great effort (many hours working and plenty of money being dropped too in the process) to accomplish all this renovation and expansion. Hopefully you are happy with it!
    9. Enjoy!
  3. 12/11: NEW SERVER: Read more! Details

    4. Extra advantages in our new hosting plan: (1) Fully managed server plus full access to the 'root', (2) Superb support, (3) Very fast server located in Amsterdam (hosting company based in the United States but with a subsidiary in Netherlands).
    5. Do you want more? You have it: SSL for our site so you can safely surf our contents. In the past it was like this: http://www.sanskrit-trikashaivism.com and now it looks like this: https://www.sanskrit-trikashaivism.com
    6. And the disadvantages? Oh, it is more costly than shared hosting. Well, you cannot have it all, you know!

  12. 01/25: Trika Guru Gabriel Pradīpaka: About him Details

    Trika Guru Gabriel PradīpakaGabriel Pradīpaka

Spiritual name: Pradīpaka (lit. "the one who sheds light", i.e. the one who sheds light on the secret meanings of the scriptures).

Nationality: Argentinian. He was born in Rosario but lives in Moscow.

Spiritual lineage: In 1983 (April) he received spontaneous initiation in the form of Śaktipāta (lit. "descent of Power", i.e. divine Grace) by repeating the sacred mantra "Om̐ namaḥ śivāya" while he was watching a photo of Svāmī Muktānanda. Hence, despite Svāmī Muktānanda having passed away in 1982, Gabriel Pradīpaka considers him as his Guru. A few months later (October, 1983), he was "formally" initiated by Svāmī Alakṣānanda, also belonging to the Muktānanda's spiritual lineage. As you surely know... or maybe not... Muktānanda is the Master who brought the Siddha Yoga path to the West. Gabriel Pradīpaka was learning/working in the well-known Siddha Yoga community till 1989. Since late 1989 through late 1991 and since late 1994 through late 1997, he was learning/teaching/working with another teacher (a disciple of the great Muktānanda too), who was crucial in his life as a yogī. And since 1997 he is "on his own".

He also recognizes Svāmī Lakṣmaṇa Joo as his Trika Guru.

In February of 2016, he founded the Parabhairavayoga, a brandnew spiritual movement that is just starting to spread around the world.

In short, he is a spiritual guru, conversant with Sanskrit language and Trika philosophy, who sheds light on spirituality as a whole and helps spiritual aspirants out with the process known as Self-realization or Final Liberation.

    2. Irina Vallabhā finished translating the blog into Russian language. Colossal effort as she had to translate 44 long posts! My sincerest congratulations, Irina!
    3. With the seminar number 9 I finished my series of seminars dealing with Paramārthasāra (full): Last seminar here, on my channel of YouTube as always. 1. On the one hand, our collaborator from Hungary, Dávid Farkas, finished his massive translation of the first ten aphorisms of Section 1 in "Spandanirṇaya", a crucial scripture in Trika. The Hungarian-speaking people are receiving a real gift in their own native language.
    2. On the other hand, our collaborator from Russia, Irina Vallabhā, translated twelve posts on the Blog. Another real gift, but this time for Russian-speaking people.
    3. Stay alert!, because both collaborators continue their task at top speed.
    4. My congratulations, dear collaborators!
    5. Enjoy!
  7. 09/15: Paramārthasāra (full): Sixth seminar (aphorisms 55 to 70 in four videos) Details
    1. I added the four videos of my sixth seminar on Paramārthasāra (full) to my channel on You Tube. I held this seminar the last weekend, here in Moscow.
    2. Though, when I encoded the video, I had to sacrifice some image quality for the file size not to be far too big, plus the unavoidable loss generated by You Tube compressing the video once it was uploaded, the new camera delivering stuff at 50 frames per second as well as a new external professional microphone placed near our voices did pay off indeed! Everybody welcome to the new era! Very good!
    3. Enjoy!
  8. 09/10: Good update: Read the short list! Details
    1. Good update!:
    2. I added the four videos of my fifth seminar on Paramārthasāra (full) to my channel on You Tube. I held this seminar the last weekend, here in Moscow.
    3. I completely cover all the aphorisms from 36 to 54 together with their respective commentaries.
    4. Site 2 is now available in Russian language too, thanks to the efforts of our collaborator, Irina Vallabhā. Great job, Irina!
    5. Moreover, I updated the "theme" on Site 2, from Weaver 2 to Weaver Extreme. The entire process also entailed a change of appearance, obviously.
    6. Finally: I will hold one seminar in Moscow this weekend, at Yoga-Club Ayravata. Check the news on top of this page... there is also a Kremlin icon in the top-left corner leading to the the pdf with the schedule of all my upcoming seminars (this icon is not visible in mobiles as the slide-menu is automatically removed when the website detects those small devices).
    7. See you soon!
    8. Enjoy!
  9. 08/26: Another big update: Read the full list! Details
    1. Another big update!:
    2. Now, I added the four videos of my fourth seminar on Paramārthasāra (full) to my channel on You Tube. I held this seminar the last weekend, here in Moscow.
    3. I completely cover all the aphorisms from 31 to 35 together with their respective commentaries. I also explain totally the aphorism 30 and its commentary since it remained partially explained at the end of the previous seminar.
    4. Our collaborator, Irina Vallabhā, translated my Svātantryasūtram as well as Śivamahimnaḥ stotram and Sivamānasapūjā into Russian language. Congratulations, Irina!
    5. Now, you could have noticed that a new logo suddenly appeared a few days ago in the top-right corner of the website. It is the logo of our first "Brother website", the one of the Brazilian twins (Paulo and Claudio), our dear collaborators who are all the time working in the Portuguese section here. A "Brother website" is exactly that, i.e. a site that is very close to this website in many ways. On this first Brother website you will find plenty of information about Sanskrit indeed. Visit it then, please!
    6. Dávid Farkas, our Hungarian collaborator, translated the entire Spandakārikā-s into his native language. Congratulations, Dávid!
    7. Finally: I will hold six more seminars in Moscow (check the news on top of this page... there is also a Kremlin icon in the top-left corner leading to the the pdf with the schedule).
    8. You can never run out of spiritual knowledge with us!
    9. Enjoy!
  10. 08/18: Massive update: Read the full list! Details
    1. Massive update!:
    2. Our collaborator from Hungary, Dávid, finished his translation of my beloved "Śivasūtravimarśinī" into Hungarian! This scripture is extremely important in the Trika system. The Hungarian-speaking people are receiving a treasure of knowledge in their own language, no doubt about it.
    3. Our Canadian collaborator, Marlon, released a new update for his famous Sanskrit Editor. Now it perfectly works on the brand-new Windows 10!
    4. Our collaborator, Irina Vallabhā, translated "Obstacles" -a short but elucidating article I wrote 12 years ago- into Russian language. Besides, she corrected some typos in the English and Spanish versions of the document as well.
    5. Our Brazilian collaborators, Paulo and Claudio, are done with their translation of the stanzas/commentary 4-7 in Abhinavagupts's Paramārthasāra. More divine Knowledge delivered in Portuguese language!
    6. Our collaborator, Sai, created the subtitles in English for my second, third and fourth videos on Śivasūtra-s (chapter 3).
    7. I added the two videos of my two satsaṅga-s held during my last seminar (August 8-9). They are in Spanish/Russian for the many Spanish-speaking people that ask me videos in my native language. Here you have then more than three hours of questions and answers.
    8. I want to extend my sincere congratulations to all my collaborators on their terrific/crucial/time-consuming job! Brick by brick we are building quite a temple for the Great Lord!
    9. I am preparing another massive update right now. It will be a future surprise once I can finally manage to overcome all the inherent obstacles. Wish me luck!
    10. Huge efforts and huge fruits for everybody! Enjoy!
  11. 08/04: Paramārthasāra (full): Third seminar (aphorisms 18 to 30 in four videos) Details
    1. This was very fast! I added the four videos of my third seminar on Paramārthasāra (full) to my channel on You Tube. I held this seminar the last weekend, here in Moscow.
    2. I cover all the aphorisms from 18 to 30 (the last one partially) along with their respective commentaries. I also explain completely the aphorism 17 and its commentary since it remained partially explained at the end of the previous seminar.
    3. Other 10 hours of videos full of Trika wisdom are now available for you and for free!
    4. Enjoy!
  12. 07/30: Update: New translations in Hungarian Details
    1. Dávid Farkas, our Hungarian collaborator, translated the section 2 in Śivasūtravimarśinī (section 3 is in process) as well as Pratyabhijñāhṛdayam into his native language.
    2. Now the dear visitors coming from Hungary have more Trika knowledge in their own language. Thank you very much, Dávid, for your great effort!
    3. Enjoy!
  13. 07/24: Paramārthasāra (full): Second seminar (aphorisms 10 to 17 in four videos) Details
    1. I added the four videos of my second seminar on Paramārthasāra (full) to my channel on You Tube. I have to repeat that by "full" I mean that I completely recite and explain the Yogarāja's commentary on the Abhinavagupta's aphorisms.
    2. I cover all the aphorisms from 10 to 17 (the last one partially) together with their respective commentaries. As, in the first seminar, I explained the aphorism 9 partially too, therefore, here, in the second seminar, I had to explain it again but in a total way. I will have to do the same thing with the aphorism 17 in my upcoming third seminar, you know. So, all knowledge will be complete in the end.
    3. It is the first time I explain this scripture along with its commentary in its entirety. Hence, the whole thing with regard to how many aphorisms will be "exactly" included in each seminar is still not totally clear. I am being spontaneous and letting Him speak through my mouth in a natural manner. All in all, these seminars are anything but something "scheduled", hehe.
    4. A last thing, I moved from the three-days seminar format to the two-days one. As a result, you will get around 10 hours of videos full of Trika wisdom with each seminar from now on.
    5. Enjoy!
  14. 07/01: Big update: Read the full list! Details
    1. Big update this one!:
    2. Our collaborator, Irina Vallabhā, laid the whole foundations of the Russian section of this website. Yes, a lot of documents are still in English and in process of being translated, but the "full framework" is already in Russian language. So, Russian visitors should go to that section from now on. Congratulations, dear Irina, on your accomplishment!
    3. I added the five videos of my first seminar on Paramārthasāra (full) to my channel on You Tube together with a video of my last satsaṅga. By "full" I mean that I thoroughly recite and explain the Yogarāja's commentary on the Abhinavagupta's aphorisms.
    4. Our collaborator, Sai, created the respective subtitles in English for my two satsaṅga-s of May and for the first video on Śivasūtra-s (chapter 3) - There is a "cc" icon below the videos for you to quickly enable/disable subtitles.
    5. With my new six videos on You Tube, you have now access to around 12 hours of massive Trika and Sanskrit knowledge. With the new Russian section, a lot of people will have a better experience with the website. And with the new aforesaid three subtitles, people not having a good ear for English will now be able to easily access that content.
    6. All this effort has been colossal. Enjoy!
  15. 06/23: Svātantryasūtram: Explanation in five videos Details
    1. I added the five videos about the Svātantryasūtram seminar in Moscow to my channel on You Tube.
    2. As you surely know, I am the author of Svātantryasūtram. I added an explanation about my commentary on the first 9 aphorisms.
    3. My explanation took, as usual, a lot of hours of hard work dealing with the terrifying intricacies of Sanskrit and Trika philosophy.
    4. Enjoy!
  16. 06/12: New translation... and more! Details
    1. First, Dávid Farkas, our Hungarian collaborator, translated the section 1 in Śivasūtravimarśinī into his native language. As this scripture is a giver of Final Liberation, its translation into other languages is very very important (I could not emphasize this point enough!). Congratulations, Dávid!
    2. Second, I welcome Sai to my team of collaborators. He comes from holy India!
    3. Enjoy!
  17. 06/01: Birthday of the website... and more! Details
    1. On the one hand, today is the birthday of the website! Sixteen years of constant work by the collaborators and myself have resulted in this huge website. I feel a deep sense of gratitude toward them for their immense selfless help!
    2. On the other hand, Dávid Farkas, our Hungarian collaborator, has translated the entire Parāprāveśikā into his native language. Great work, Dávid!
    3. Finally, as a bonus, now I am also present on Facebook to spread so much Sanskrit knowledge as possible through that social tool (there is a little Facebook logo on top of every page for a fast access).
    4. Enjoy!
  18. 05/04: New version of the Sanskrit Editor... and two more videos Details
    1. Good news! Our collaborator Marlon released a new version of his program "Sanskrit Editor", which perfectly works on Windows 7, 8 and 8.1. It has several new features you will love. You can download the program directly from the Software section.
    2. Before installing the new version of the Sanskrit Editor, uninstall any previous version of it, please.
    3. Thank you very much, Marlon. We are all indebted to you for this wonderful piece of software!
    4. As a bonus, I uploaded two new short videos with two talks I gave in my last seminar, during May 1 and 2. You can view them both in my channel on You Tube under the playlist: Collection of satsanga-s.
    5. Enjoy!
  19. 04/15: Tantric Ritual: Explanation and practice (in four videos) Details
    1. I added the four videos about Tantric Ritual to my channel on You Tube.
    2. Explanation and practice of a standard Tantric Ritual performed with the use of the Śrīyantra.
    3. The videos show an entire ritual, from beginning to end, but keep in mind that my pupils of Moscow are just starting (only 1 day and a half of training!) with Tantric rituals. A full training requires a lot of practice for at least six months, according to my experience.
    4. In spite of the inevitable limitations, these videos serve the purpose of teaching how to perform a usual ritual in the Tantric way. Take this as a sort of first test before we can prepare a full ritual (with fire and oblations) in the future here.
    5. Enjoy!
  20. 04/07: Spandakārikā-s: Full explanation of the third and fourth chapters (in five videos) Details
    1. I added the final videos about Spandakārikā-s (chapters 3 and 4 - complete explanation in 5 videos) to my channel on You Tube.
    2. The new videos are in the "Spandakārikā-s Seminars" playlist, and they total around 12 hours of pure Trika (Non-dual Shaivism of Kashmir) and Sanskrit knowledge.
    3. These videos are, as promised, in HD.
    4. I will publish more videos in the near future!
    5. Enjoy!
  21. 03/23: Spandakārikā-s: Full explanation of the second chapter (in five videos) Details
    1. I added more videos about Spandakārikā-s (chapter 2 - complete explanation in 5 videos) to my channel on You Tube.
    2. The new videos are in the "Spandakārikā-s Seminars" playlist, and they total around 9 hours of pure Trika (Non-dual Shaivism of Kashmir) and Sanskrit knowledge.
    3. These videos are the last ones filmed and edited in low definition. From now on, all the videos will be published in HD, as they will be filmed by ourselves and not by a third party.
    4. Enjoy!
  22. 03/05: Śivasūtra-s: Full explanation of the third chapter (in five videos) Details
    1. I added more videos about Śivasūtra-s (chapter 3 - complete explanation in 5 videos) to my channel on You Tube.
    2. The new videos are in the "Śivasūtra-s Seminars" playlist, and they total around 12 hours and a half of pure Trika (Non-dual Shaivism of Kashmir) and Sanskrit knowledge.
    3. Now there are more hours of teachings for you because we (my collaborators and I) are recording and editing our own videos! Therefore, at present we are able to record entire seminars (the three days) and not only the last two days as in the past.
    4. I offer this great effort to Śiva, the Lord of lords. May this sacred knowledge be for the welfare of everybody!
    5. Enjoy!
  23. 02/26: Śivasūtra-s: Full explanation of the second chapter (in five videos) Details
    1. I added more videos about Śivasūtra-s (chapter 2 - complete explanation in 5 videos) to my channel on You Tube.
    2. The new videos are in the "Śivasūtra-s Seminars" playlist, and they total around 8 hours of pure Trika (Non-dual Shaivism of Kashmir) and Sanskrit knowledge.
    3. Through my commentary on the 7th aphorism, I entirely explain the relationship between the Sanskrit letters (in the Mātṛkā arrangement of the Sanskrit alphabet) and the categories of the universal manifestation. To understand this subject-matter is crucial to penetrate into the Core of the sacred teachings of Trika.
    4. In the past I wrote a lot on the website. Now, I am speaking a lot through the videos of my seminars. I will come back to writing later, when I finish to "build" my life here, in Moscow. Little by little I am creating my life again like in Argentina but in a Russian way, hehe. This requires time. When it is finished, I will have time to add more contents to the website in the form of written stuff. Be patient, please.
    5. In the meantime, the new Russian section of the website is being gradually built by a collaborator. This is also very time-consuming not only for her but for me too, because I have to check all from a technical viewpoint. This Russian section will be ready soon, I guess. So, its formal inauguration will happen in the near future.
    6. In a nutshell, this website is fully active for you, dear visitor.
  24. 02/23: Important news: Donate to the website Details
    1. Now and then, visitors e-mail me for expressing their desire to donate money to the website. This has been happening for many years. Well, now those people have the possibility to easily/safely do it via the usual PayPal service (look up for their well-known "Donate" button).
    2. Donations will be used for maintaining the two websites, building Yoga communities, tours and similar stuff. My purpose is always to spread these teachings as much as possible in order to elevate humankind.
    3. Enjoy!
  25. 02/11: Spandakārikā-s: Full explanation of the first chapter (in five videos) Details
    1. I added more videos about Spandakārikā-s (chapter 1 - complete explanation in 5 videos) to my channel on You Tube.
    2. During the last week, I added four videos too: Two about Śivasūtra-s and two about Paramārthasāra.
    3. Our collaborators, Paulo and Claudio, improved their website (which was chosen as Site of Year 2014 in the DFSL) with the addition of references to the Müller's grammar in order for you to check if the declension being shown for a certain word is fully right.
    4. Enjoy!
  26. 01/29: DFSL: Site of the Year 2014 Details
    1. The website of our Brazilian collaborators, Paulo and Claudio, was chosen as Site of the Year 2014 in the DFSL.
    2. The website looks apparently simple but they have invested a great deal of time in building it, because most of the contents are "under the hood", i.e. invisible to the reader at first. When you use it, you will understand my words. In a nutshell, their website is doubtless greatly useful for Sanskrit students. And they continue to improve it!
    3. Congratulation, dear collaborators!
    4. Enjoy!
  27. 01/20: My channel on You Tube: It contains a collection of videos about my seminars Details

This is my channel on You Tube, containing a collection of videos about various seminars.

  28. 01/20: Announcement: My channel on You Tube Details
    1. I configured completely my own channel on You Tube by means of playlists - A link to my channel will be constantly available as an important news at the top of this page.
    2. Now I added a new playlist with the "Seminar on karma and Indian philosophies". It contains around 8 or 9 hours of deep spiritual teachings for you.
    3. I will add more videos there in the near future.
    4. Enjoy!
  29. 01/14: Gurugītā: 'Devanāgarī and IAST only' versions Details
    1. I created the "Devanāgarī only" and "IAST only" versions of this famous hymn in honor of the Guru: Gurugītā - Short version.
    2. Now, you will be able to print the text, whether in Sanskrit signs or transliterated, without my translation all the time in the middle. This will make your chanting it much easier.
    3. "Gurugītā - Short version" is chanted every day in the communities of my tradition... and in those of some other traditions too, I guess.
    4. Enjoy!
  30. 01/04: Śivamahimnaḥ stotram and Śivamānasapūjā: 'Devanāgarī and IAST only' versions Details
    1. I created the "Devanāgarī only" and "IAST only" versions of these two hymns: Śivamahimnaḥ stotram and Śivamānasapūjā
    2. Why? Because they are generally chanted in Yoga communities. Now, you will be able to print the text, whether in Sanskrit signs or transliterated, without my translation all the time in the middle.
    3. Enjoy!

    1. Our two Hungarian collaborators, Dávid and Tamás, finished their translation of the entire "Sanskrit Names" section. These are the final documents that they translated: ā, u and ū, ṛ to au, ka and kha, ga and gha and ca and cha.
    2. Great job, collaborators, as usual!
    3. After a successful satsaṅga and seminar during the last weekend (from Thursday through Sunday), I am ready for my last satsaṅga (today) and seminar (Friday to Sunday) of this first tour in Moscow.
    4. Pictures and probably videos of the meetings will be published later on this website.
    5. Enjoy!
  4. 09/16: Translation into Hungarian language: LINKS, DFSL Backlink (magyar), DFSL Rating (magyar), Names, etc. Details
    1. Now our two Hungarian collaborators, Dávid and Tamás, are done with their translations of the following documents: LINKS, DFSL Backlink (magyar), DFSL Rating (magyar), Names, Sanskrit Names, Itrans howto, Sanskrit Names Info, a, i and ī, ja and jha, ta and tha, da and dha, na, pa and pha, ba and bha, ma and ya.
    2. Congratulations, collaborators, as always!
    3. After a successful seminar in Saint Petersburg the last weekend, today I am returning to Moscow in the evening for the upcoming satsaṅga and seminar during the next weekend (from Thursday through Sunday).
    4. The previous seminar in Saint Petersburg was my first seminar completely in English. I thought it would be very difficult for me to speak in my second language, but fortunately I had no problems at all. I was lucky, hehe.
    5. Enjoy!
  5. 09/02: Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa: Stanzas 5 to 8 - Part 6 Details
    1. The sixth part of the commentary on the stanzas 5 to 8 in Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa is now completely translated.
    2. After a delay of a few months busy with the Forum installation and configuration, with the new Hungarian section (it was very time-consuming indeed!), with my upcoming Russian Tour, I could anyway continue my advance toward the fourteenth fortress during my free time. Now it is conquered totally. It was the most difficult translation so far. A colossal task, most assuredly! As always, most readers will understand practically nothing. This is serious stuff for very advanced Yogī-s who are scholars and have a direct experience of their Self. In the future, with my long explanations, more readers will be able to understand, at least on an intellectual level only.
    3. Now, only eleven fortresses are left to be sieged and conquered.
    4. Within two days I will be flying to Moscow for my Russian Tour. I will spread the sacred Trika teachings there such as the Lord ordered me to do. There is no obstacle to His Will, because all the possible obstacles are even Himself. Hence He is called Arodhya or the One who cannot be obstructed.
    5. I offer my efforts to this Great Lord then!
    6. I worship Śiva "alone" forever!
    7. Enjoy!
  6. 08/23: Translation into Hungarian language: Alphabet, Alphabet (variant), etc. Details
    1. Our two Hungarian collaborators, Dávid and Tamás, finished their translations of the following pages: Alphabet, Alphabet (variant), Hungarian-Home - Blog, Hungarian-Home - Fonts, Fonts and Test your browser with the Sanskrit 2003 font.
    2. Congratulations, collaborators, on an excellent and fast job!
    3. Enjoy!
  7. 08/18: New collaborator and new translation Details
    1. A new Hungarian collaborator has arrived: Tamás István Énisz
    2. And this article is his first contribution to the website: Onion and garlic
    3. Welcome Tamás and very good job!
    4. Enjoy!
  8. 08/16: Translation into Hungarian language: Two articles Details
    1. Our collaborator, Dávid Farkas, translated the articles Protoshaivism (along with its Appendix) and Is spiritual knowledge in Sanskrit hidden? into Hungarian language.
    2. Enjoy!
  9. 08/11: Translation into Hungarian language: Svātantryasūtram Details
    1. Our collaborator, Dávid Farkas, translated Svātantryasūtram into Hungarian language.
    2. Enjoy!
  10. 08/07: New section in Hungarian language Details
    1. A big thing has just landed on the website: A new section in Hungarian language! (look up for the Hungarian flag).
    2. The framework is now totally finished (it has been a very time-consuming task indeed!).
    3. The formidable mission of translating all the documents into that language will be in the hands of our collaborator: Dávid Farkas.
    4. Enjoy!
  11. 06/30: We have finally a Forum! Details
    1. A great news now: "We have finally a Forum to ask, answer and have fun learning/teaching things about Sanskrit and its universe in a more interactive way". I won't be alone responding doubts but other people with solid knowledge about these topics will join to the "Knowledge Party".
    2. Welcome everybody to the Forum, dear visitors!
    3. First, obviously, you must register there (once your registration is approved, log in and go to the User Control Panel to add your personal information you want other people to see) and start to have fun with this new Play of Consciousness.
    4. Three languages are permitted for the posts: English, Spanish and Portuguese. I have people helping me to moderate the forum, of course, and together we can deal with those three languages with no problem.
    5. Enjoy!
  12. 06/23: New collaborator arrives along with a new translation into Hungarian language! Details
    1. A new collaborator arrives from Budapest, Hungary: Dávid Farkas.
    2. His first contribution is a translation of my Svātantryasūtram into Hungarian language (there is a clear link to a downloadable zipped pdf below the top links of that page).
    3. Welcome Dávid!... and, hey, now my scripture is in five languages: Sanskrit, English, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and Hungarian! Great!
    4. Enjoy!
  13. 06/05: Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa: Stanzas 5 to 8 - Part 5 Details
    1. The fifth part of the commentary on the stanzas 5 to 8 in Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa is now thoroughly translated.
    2. The thirteenth fortress finally surrendered! It was difficult and long, but the type of difficulty in this case was different from that of the previous fortress. How to explain this? For example: The average reader will read and read a certain paragraph, and everything will look OK... but when he is done with the paragraph, he will realize he couldn't understand anything. The reason for this is that Abhinavagupta is flying very high, very high now. This Part 5 is only for guru-s and similar high-souled ones who has a "direct experience" of the subject being dealt with. So, as far as the average reader is concerned, knowledge will be merely intellectual till he has a direct experience of it. And in the absence of this sort of experience, some things could seem very confusing or even contradictory. However, there is no contradiction and everything is crystal clear when you gain access to the Core of your own Self.
    3. Now, only twelve fortresses are left to be conquered. The delay in taking the present fortress was not mostly due to the insane Sanskrit exhibited by Abhinavagupta, but rather to the innumerable problems I ran into in my "personal life". Nothing terrible, but the number was so high that I was very busy with solving them one by one. If I was a monk I would possibly have a life of peace in the solitude of a monastery. Unfortunately, I don't want to be a monk and prefer to continue my life in the middle of the common worldly pressures (e.g. this got broken and I must fix it... money is running out... etc.). Just trifles, but no way, one has to take the trouble to deal with them and resolve the problems.
    4. At this right moment, my little army has begun its attack on Part 6 (the fourteenth fortress out of twenty-five). It will take it sooner or later, and at all costs... as usual!
    5. I offer my efforts to the Supreme Lord of all!
    6. I worship Śiva "alone" forever!
    7. Enjoy!
  14. 06/01: Anniversary: 15 years online! Details
    1. Today is a very important day: It is the 15th anniversary of the website online!
    2. A lot of things have happened since its foundation in June 1st 1999, some of them were good, others bad, others neutral. Anyway, both devotion to the Great Lord of all and a lying spirit of brotherhood could be kept by His own Grace.
    3. I also want to say: Thank you, collaborators, for their invaluable help during so many years of hard work!
    4. Keep enjoying!
  15. 05/01: Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa: Stanzas 5 to 8 - Part 4 (Partial explanation) Details
    1. Due to the state of "stupefaction and terror" of several offline and online pupils of mine with reference to the Part 4 (stanzas 5-8 of Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa), which was recently published... I am not joking... I made the decision of partially explaining the Part 4 by didactical charts so the subject will become much clearer to understand to the average reader. Therefore, go to the bottom of the page "Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa (Part 4 of stanzas 5-8)" for my brief explanation. I hope you will be glad with it.
    2. After this little delay I can continue with my translation of the Part 5 then.
    3. Enjoy!
  16. 04/29: Pratyabhijñāhṛdayam entirely in Brazilian Portuguese Details
    1. Another gem of Trika Knowledge was translated by our collaborators from Brazil, Paulo and Claudio: Pratyabhijñāhṛdayam, the Heart of Recognition of one's own Self, a concise scripture in verse where the sage Kṣemarāja summarizes the basic principles of the Pratyabhijñā school (one of the four schools the Trika system is composed of).
    2. This translation means more treasures of Knowledge being available for Portuguese-speaking people directly in their language. This is also historic, because nobody had translated my translation (if you will excuse the repetition) of this scripture into Brazilian Portuguese before. Good job, twins!
    3. Enjoy!
  17. 04/24: Śivasūtravimarśinī entirely in Brazilian Portuguese Details
    1. Our collaborators from Brazil, Paulo and Claudio, have finished the extremely difficult and long translation of: Śivasūtravimarśinī, the great commentary of the sage Kṣemarāja (the main disciple of Abhinavagupta, the greatest Trika Master of all time) on venerable Śivasūtra-s.
    2. The task of translating all those eight loooooong documents into Brazilian Portuguese was a mammoth one (specially if you take into consideration that the pure translations --with Sanskrit at minimum-- are also there for you to read them in Brazilian Portuguese too!). See them by yourself to understand the magnitude of their efforts!
    3. Now, all those people whose first language is Portuguese will be delighted with this translation. For the first time in history (no jokes), this translation of mine in English and Spanish of one of the greatest works in the Trika literature has been translated into Brazilian Portuguese entirely. This is therefore "historic" from all viewpoints. This scripture is bestower of Final Liberation indeed, hence its importance.
    4. Congratulations twins on your great accomplishment! There is no way to duly thank you for your patience and devotion.
    5. Enjoy!
  18. 04/22: Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa: Stanzas 5 to 8 - Part 4 Details
    1. The fourth part of the commentary on the stanzas 5 to 8 in Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa is now totally translated.
    2. The twelfth fortress was taken then... but the fight was extraordinary. If the next fortresses will be so difficult to take, this war will be a long one. Yes, the enemy is shooting... and shooting hard. I had to write some additional explanations within the translation itself or the readers (except "muni-s" and "scholars" of high rank, hehe) will have their boat sunk before setting sail (I am not joking). Even with that help, Abhinavagupta writes in such a confusing and massive way that most readers will not understand the text completely until I can deliver a similarly massive global explanation of it in the future. This is no surprise, because from the beginning everybody knew that this book is only for great Yogī-s and Yoginī-s even in its English version. In Sanskrit... it is intended for demigods to start with, hahahaha. Absolutely overwhelming! One has to laugh or else commit suicide. There is no other way to deal with Abhinavagupta's massive expositions in Sanskrit. My intellect is still in comma after translating that mass of Knowledge. Just read the text and laugh with me at your complete ignorance about Trika. As I warned that this portion was not going to be for the faint of hearts, you could see it coming anyway.
    3. Now, only thirteen fortresses are left to be taken, in other words, almost the half of the enemy territory has been conquered by my little army. Time to continue my advance toward the thirteenth fortress. Let us see what new surprises I will face here!
    4. I offer my efforts to the Supreme Lord without whose Help nobody can cross the unfathomable Ocean of Mother Ignorance.
    5. I worship Śiva "alone" forever!
    6. Enjoy!
  19. 03/27: Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa: Stanzas 5 to 8 - Part 3 Details
    1. The third part of the commentary on the stanzas 5 to 8 in Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa is now absolutely translated.
    2. The eleventh fortress has been completely "blasted" then. As always, every new battle is more brutal than the previous one. The first skirmishes in order to conquer the next fortress (the twelfth one --part 4--) have already started... and let me be completely clear regarding this: It will be quite an ordeal to my intellect as the challenge is colossal. In the upcoming fourth part, Abhinavagupta will begin his exposition on the different arrangements of the alphabet with reference to the 36 tattva-s or categories according to the viewpoints of Parā, Parāparā and Aparā, which is not for the faint of hearts, believe me.
    3. I offer once again this hard work to the Great Lord who dwells "entirely" in every particle of this universe according to the Kula's teaching affirming that "all consists in all" (i.e. the Totality is present in each of the portions It Itself is composed of).
    4. I worship Śiva "alone" forever!
    5. Enjoy!
  20. 03/06: Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa: Stanzas 5 to 8 - Part 2 Details
    1. The second part of the commentary on the stanzas 5 to 8 in Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa is now completely translated.
    2. The tenth fortress is now fully conquered. This battle was even more brutal than the previous one. So far, it has been my greatest effort during this war. To translate all that has been quite a nightmare! My little army is tired of the extraordinarily difficult Abhinavagupta's writing style where I have to add words or phrases almost all the time to complete the sense, be sure, but it continues to advance deeper and deeper into enemy territory until it gets the final victory. It is still far because other fifteen fortresses are left to be conquered anyway. No despair here... it is about time and more efforts. Now, I go for the eleventh fortress!
    3. I also uploaded to the website the text (untranslated yet) of the part 4 of the stanzas 5 to 8.
    4. I worship Śiva "alone" forever!
    5. Enjoy!
  21. 02/17: Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa: Stanzas 5 to 8 - Part 1 Details
    1. The first part of the commentary on the stanzas 5 to 8 in Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa is now totally translated.
    2. This part opens the Pratibimba or Reflection section of the scripture, where the entire universal manifestation is explained in detail.
    3. The ninth fortress is obliterated now. It has been the most brutal battle by a vast margin in this terrifying campaign into enemy territory with my little army. If you do not believe me, just read and see by yourself. Those "centipedes" (the Sanskrit signs look like that in my view), some of which are extremely long, are able to crush the strongest intellect very easily, rest assured. Anyway, one thing is true: He who can understand the Truth about the indeterminate Consciousness, such as analyzed by Abhinavagupta, will quickly attain Final Liberation.
    4. I worship Śiva "alone" forever!
    5. Enjoy!
  22. 02/01: Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa: Stanzas 3 to 4 - Part 4 Details
    1. The fourth (final) part of the commentary on the stanzas 3 to 4 in Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa is now completely translated.
    2. The first four stanzas and their commentaries are finished then. They constitute the Bimba --lit. Mirror-- section of the scripture, where the Real Nature of the things has been analyzed in detail. From now on, Abhinavagupta will unfold his commentary on the Pratibimba --lit. Reflection-- section of the scripture, where the entire manifestation of the universe, appearing as a reflection on that divine Mirror of Consciousness, will be studied.
    3. I also uploaded to the website the text (no translation yet) of the part 3 of the stanzas 5 to 8.
    4. The eighth fortress has been conquered by my little army. The upcoming commentary on the stanzas 5 to 8 consists of 7 parts, which are 7 formidable fortresses much harder to take over than the previous eight ones I have conquered already. This is going to be a pitched battle, no doubt about it! So, wish my little army good luck, hehe!
    5. I worship Śiva "alone" forever!
    6. Enjoy!
  23. 01/23: Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa: Stanzas 3 to 4 - Part 3 Details
    1. The third part of the commentary on the stanzas 3 to 4 in Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa is now totally translated.
    2. This part is so difficult to understand that it looks like a divine joke! Just read it and see by yourself. I do not insert notes of explanation yet in order to show that "the level of most readers" is absolutely ridiculous to cope with Masters like Abhinavagupta. Simply, the poor guy cannot follow the Master. There is something "sacred" in feeling how miserable disciple one is... a kind of relief. Most egos in this world are completely convinced that "they do know". Next, they face Abhinavagupta and finally arrive at the conclusion that they "do not" know and have no idea how to start to know really. This is the blessing: The downfall of the notion of "knowing". The great majority of the readers will be able to confirm "their absolute ignorance about Trika" by reading this third part of the Abhinavagupta's commentary on the stanzas 3 and 4.
    3. The seventh fortress has been demolished by my little army (well, maybe it is not so little after all, hahahahaha! It is God laughing in myself!). Now, I go for the eight fortress, which is the final part of this commentary on the stanzas 3 and 4.
    4. I worship Śiva "alone" forever!
    5. Enjoy!
  24. 01/20: The Site of the Year 2013 was chosen in the DFSL (Directory of Free Sanskrit Links) Details
    1. The Site of the Year 2013 has been chosen in the DFSL (Directory of Free Sanskrit Links)!
    2. As a usual bonus, its link is now completely "clean". What do I mean? Read the article about Backlinks. The winner does NOT need to put a link back to my site, obviously, because a clean backlink is part of the prize, you know.
    3. Additionally, the winner is given five stars and it will also appear in the "Top Admin Rating" section then.
    4. Enjoy!
  25. 01/14: Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa: Stanzas 3 to 4 - Part 2 Details
    1. The second part of the commentary on the stanzas 3 to 4 in Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa is now absolutely translated.
    2. I also transcribed the parts 1 and 2 of the next stanzas being commented by the sage: 5 to 8. I make always these transcriptions from the original scriptures which are written generally in pdf format. It is not only copying the text but I must also "fix" the sandhi or combinations at every step because in the shaiva scriptures there is generally this problem with a "mediocre" sandhi. And yes, I apply agglutination of words and phrases too... depending on the situation and convenience. Why? In order to make the text more compact. If you did not understand anything about what I have just said... well, develop patience and some day you will understand it.
    3. Apart from the "extraordinarily difficult Abhinavagupta's Sanskrit style", the difficulties were now many during my translation of this second part, some of them being simply impossible to explain because they are too internal. Under the category of the ones that can be explained, I can say this: For example, I am preparing a Sanskrit course that will take place in my city and start in February (I did not announce it here, in the English portion of the website because I thought that you could be a little far away from the place where I am going to dictate the course as to simply take a bus and get there, haha... anyway you can read the announcement in Spanish with the help of Google translator or something if you wish so). The preparations before beginning a new course are time-consuming always, and this delays the translations, as it obvious. And yes, in my "personal life" I continue with endless problems all the time emerging from nowhere. It is all an invention of this mother ignorance but Gabriel has to solve them one by one as you will surely guess. Well, usual life in this little planet.
    4. The sixth fortress has been completely conquered by my little army. There are still 19 to go! Now, I am going for the seventh one. By "now" I mean exactly "that": Right now! My little army could develop laziness and lose its momentum if it remains merely stationed even a little bit.
    5. I worship Śiva "alone" forever!
    6. Enjoy!

2013

  1. 12/29: Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa: Stanzas 3 to 4 - Part 1 Details
    1. The first part of the commentary on the stanzas 3 to 4 in Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa is now totally translated.
    2. I also wrote the parts 2, 3 and 4 on the same stanzas (not translated yet).
    3. The difficulty now was the terrible heat wave affecting my country, which collapsed the electrical and water systems, which left me four days (no jokes) with no water. I survived by buying water but there were a little problems with bathing, cooking, etc., you know. Besides, there were sporadic power outages too. So, mother ignorance had to be conquered by force again.
    4. The fifth fortress has been taken over then. Now, I am going for the sixth one. Twenty percent of the enemy territory has been conquered in the term of around three months. Therefore, to conquer the rest will "ideally" take one year, but in practice it will take more time because mother ignorance has many aces up her sleeve always.
    5. I worship Śiva "alone" forever!
    6. Enjoy!
  2. 12/17: Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa: Stanzas 1 to 2 - Part 4 Details
    1. The fourth (final) part of the commentary on the stanzas 1 to 2 in Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa is now thoroughly translated.
    2. I must say that the difficulties I had to face (both inside and outside) during this stage have been simply overwhelming. So many interruptions and stupid things happening in my external life, for example. Besides, the complexity of the text is increasing with every new stanza and its commentary. My work is getting very serious then. This is completely "personal" between the all-pervading mother ignorance and I. I have my own reasons for that, trust me.
    3. So, the fourth fortress has been fully taken by assault and defeated "by force" (haṭhāt). To translate this text is certainly not for "timid" people, that is sure thing. You cannot tame the Goddess with a sickly-sweet attitude or with mere hope. It is necessary to vanquish Her "by force" because She constantly tends to turn into the all-containing Māyā. In the end, the Goddess must be tamed completely and Śiva alone can accomplish this formidable task. There is a mysterious secret in my words. Now I am going for the fifth fortress (the first part of the commentary on the stanzas 3 and 4), because another battle has been won but the war continues.
    4. I worship Śiva "alone" forever!
    5. Enjoy!
  3. 12/05: Parāprāveśikā in Brazilian Portuguese Details
    1. Our collaborators from Brazil, Paulo and Claudio, have finished the extremely difficult translation of: Parāprāveśikā, the great work of the sage Kṣemarāja (the main disciple of Abhinavagupta, the greatest Trika Master of all time).
    2. More stuff for Portuguese-speaking people to delight reading Trika scriptures translated into their own native language.
    3. Enjoy!
  4. 11/23: Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa: Stanzas 1 to 2 - Part 3 Details
    1. The third part of the commentary on the stanzas 1 to 2 in Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa is now completely translated.
    2. The translation of this part demanded so much time not only because it was amazingly difficult and complex, but also by the fact that I must write the Sanskrit "manually" by the Sanskrit Editor from the original in signs. The transliterations available online would need so many reforms and corrections that I made the decision of doing it all myself. To write all that requires several hours, of course. After that, the act of translating it is simply laughable. Why? Because it is so difficult to translate that one has to laugh all the time. Abhinavagupta used a "veiled" language in order for only the high-caliber disciples and Guru-s to be able to understand him. Do not you believe me? Just read the document and you will see it by yourself.
    3. The third fortress (out of 25 fortresses this scripture is composed of, i.e. 25 parts) is now totally "conquered". I needed two weeks of continuous efforts against many things. This time mother ignorance launched his army known as "human vileness". Certainly I knew that "nice" army, but I never perceived so much human vileness in just two weeks in my entire life. Anyway, my army continues its advance into enemy territory. The romantic idea about translating Trika scriptures like "in love" is denied by the "practical experience", specially in the case of monumental treatises like the present one (Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa), which was written by God Himself and commented by the greatest Trika Master of all time. When you deal with this kind of stuff, mother ignorance will attack you whether you are a mere scholar or the King of Yoga. One of the reasons is possibly that the "average" reader here, on the website, is not "deserving", i.e. he or she does not deserve to read about those mysteries and secret teachings. Obviously, most readers' egos will consider themselves as "fully deserving". This is a usual illusion. Whatever the reason, one thing is sure: The task of translating these scriptures will be uphill and you will be blocked or even annihilated unless you constantly fight your way right to the end!
    4. Now I am going for the fourth fortress. Let us see what mother ignorance will display before me this time in order to stop my advance.
    5. I worship Śiva alone forever!
    6. Enjoy!
  5. 11/21: Spandakārikā-s in Brazilian Portuguese Details
    1. Our collaborators from Brazil, Paulo and Claudio, have finished the difficult translation of: Spandakārikā-s, the great work of sage Vasugupta (one of the greatest exponents in the Trika philosophy).
    2. To have this scripture fully translated in their native language will be essential and very welcome to the many followers of the Trika system in all the Portuguese-speaking countries.
    3. Enjoy!
  6. 11/09: Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa: Stanzas 1 to 2 - Part 2 Details
    1. The second part of the commentary on the stanzas 1 to 2 in Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa is now fully translated.
    2. The delay in the publication was not mostly due to the "eternally difficult Abhinavagupta's writing style" or to the "complex teachings being given there" (most readers will not understand them without my future notes of explanation, because the scripture is intended for very high-caliber disciples... in fact, it is a scripture for Guru-s, in my opinion), but rather to a monumental counterattack by mother ignorance in my "personal life". After a massive withdrawal during several days, I launched a counterattack and I could finally capture this second fortress. There are yet other twenty-three fortresses (23 Parts forming the entire commentary) left for me to capture them in order to win the war. As a result, the respective efforts I will have to make to defeat mother ignorance "once again" will be Herculean, I guess.
    3. I still wonder why mother ignorance is so desperately striving to stop me in this. Evidently the manifestation of this divine Knowledge contained in the Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa on the Web in the way I do it, and for free, has a high price to be paid. OK, now I am going for the third fortress... hopefully she will not demolish my house this time, hehe.
    4. I worship Śiva alone!
    5. Enjoy!
  7. 10/16: Origin of the Indo-European languages: Part IX Details
    1. With the new update, now I can affirm that our collaborators from Brazil, Paulo and Claudio, have finally finished their translation into Brazilian Portuguese of the series of pages on the origin of the Indo-European languages. Here you are!: Origin of the Indo-European languages: Part IX
    2. Congratulations, dear collaborators!
    3. Enjoy!
  8. 10/14: Awesome new feature: News slider! Details
    1. Our collaborators from Hungary, Albert and Zoltán, have implemented a "News Slider" (look up!).
    2. By this new awesome feature you can access the latest updates by merely clicking on the respective images from almost any place where you are on the website without having to come to the English-Home every time to do so.
    3. We are planning on adding more "images" to the website and this is just the start of the process. While text is crucial, we perfectly know that most people love images, do they not?
    4. My congratulations to Albert and Zoltán on an impressive professional job (as usual in their case always)!
    5. Enjoy!
  9. 10/12: Origin of the Indo-European languages: Parts VII and VIII Details
    1. Our collaborators from Brazil, Paulo and Claudio, have been working really hard. They translated the seventh and eighth pages of the Linguistics section into Brazilian Portuguese: Origin of the Indo-European languages: Part VII and Part VIII.
    2. Very good job all the Portuguese-speaking people will surely appreciate!
    3. Enjoy!
  10. 10/07: Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa: Stanzas 1 to 2 - Part 1 Details
    1. The first part of the commentary on the stanzas 1 to 2 in Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa is now completely translated.
    2. My translation of the "most difficult Trika scripture of all time", composed by the greatest Trika Master (most venerable Abhinavagupta), has finally begun. My first encounter with this scripture in Sanskrit, face to face, has not been "a stroll in the park" as it was easily predictable. I could finish the first part after fighting (and sometimes "crawling") my way with a rather crazy tenacity. Any distraction and my effort would have led me nowhere as it is very easy to lose "one's intellect" in the process of translating very difficult teachings in Sanskrit, and to make the things worse, written in such a difficult style.
    3. This scripture is "only intended" for very advanced disciples and in fact true "enlightened ones" with a solid knowledge about Trika. The author, Abhinavagupta, is taking that for granted from the very start (be warned!). If you think that I am exaggerating, just read the scripture and see by yourself. Therefore, my future notes of explanation will be huge and many I guess. Without these notes of explanation, the immense majority of readers will go nowhere, rest assured. Most people dislike the idea of having to accept a spiritual Guru who explains the teachings to them, but when they stumble upon the deep teachings of enlightened Masters as Abhinavagupta (the author of Parātrīśikāvivaraṇa), if they are honest they will realize that "they go nowhere" without the help of a spiritual Guru. This fact will be very obvious in the case of the present scripture.
    4. I offer my work and efforts to Lord Śiva by becoming Him, because without His Grace nobody can cross the unfathomable ocean of mother ignorance.
    5. Enjoy!
  11. 10/05: Origin of the Indo-European languages: Part VI Details
    1. Our collaborators from Brazil, Paulo and Claudio, translated the sixth page of the Linguistics section into Brazilian Portuguese: Origin of the Indo-European languages: Part VI
    2. They also corrected a few names in the English and Spanish versions of the same page.
    3. Enjoy!
  12. 10/02: Origin of the Indo-European languages: Part V Details
    1. Our collaborators from Brazil, Paulo and Claudio, translated the fifth page of the Linguistics section into Brazilian Portuguese: Origin of the Indo-European languages: Part V
    2. Apart from the usual translation, they also corrected many names in both English and Spanish. Excellent job!
    3. Enjoy!
  13. 09/22: Origin of the Indo-European languages: Part IV Details
    1. Our collaborators from Brazil, Paulo and Claudio, translated the fourth page of the Linguistics section into Brazilian Portuguese: Origin of the Indo-European languages: Part IV
    2. Little by little the website is increasing its stuff in Brazilian Portuguese thanks to the invaluable work of these two collaborators.
    3. Portuguese-speaking people will have very happy with this new update!
    4. Enjoy!
  14. 09/15: Stanzas 100 to 105 in Paramārthasāra Details
    1. The stanzas 100 to 105 (plus the final section ending the scripture) in Paramārthasāra are now thoroughly translated together with their commentaries.
    2. After an epic final battle against mother ignorance protecting this scripture from being revealed to the world in such a detailed way (word by word), the war is finished. During these last ten days she was bombing me with everything at hand, from the commentator's style of writing reaching new peaks of confusion in stanzas 104 and 105 to some horrible thing happening in my "personal" life (I was not surprised by this). I had to overcome all those obstacles by His Grace then to finally dig up this Treasure called Paramārthasāra. This war is over and the corpse of the enemy lies in the battlefield.
    3. I will have to add now all the remaining notes of explanation (from the stanza 16!) for you to fully understand the hidden meanings of Paramārthasāra.
    4. Anyway, along with that long task of adding notes, I will start a new war (maybe the biggest one in my entire life) against the goddess protecting the most difficult Trika scripture. I am doing this in order not to lose my momentum regarding translations. In comparison with the upcoming war, the present one which is now over will look like a little skirmish!
    5. I offer my work and efforts to Lord Śiva. This offering is only vyavahāra or a conventionalism because, after all, it was Him who did all that! Who else could subjugate mother ignorance in that way?
    6. Enjoy!
  15. 09/05: Stanzas 96 to 99 in Paramārthasāra Details
    1. The stanzas 96 to 99 in Paramārthasāra are now totally translated along with their commentaries.
    2. Now the net around the main fortress of mother ignorance in this particular scripture is fully closed. As the final battle against lady ignorance here will be "epic", I will go into seclusion for the next days (hopefully not months) in order to overcome her and all her minions in the form of the innumerable obstacles at every step (in both the task itself of translating this difficult stuff and my personal life). If my responses to your e-mails in the next days (or months... depending on how hard this fight will be) experience some delay, now you know the reason for that. One thing is sure: I will not stop till she is completely vanquished and banished from Paramārthasāra even though this takes months or even years.
    3. After finishing her off, I will have to add the notes of explanation from the last stanza I commented on in the past. Also, along with that task, I will start another war against yet another goddess of ignorance in order not to lose my momentum. I suppose that I already know the name of the scripture to be translated by me after Paramārthasāra's translation is over, but I have to make some decisions yet.
    4. Enjoy!
  16. 08/30: Stanzas 92 to 95 in Paramārthasāra Details
    1. The stanzas 92 to 95 in Paramārthasāra are now completely translated along with their commentaries.
    2. Another step in the direction of the final Fortress of the goddess called "ignorance". I will make my way to the capital city of this goddess and will conquer her once and for all. In this way, you will have the entire scripture totally translated word by word for your Full Enlightenment. Only ten stanzas to go and the war will be over.
    3. You may wonder why I always compare my work to a kind of battle: Because it is exactly so. Most people I have met have a "romantic" idea about the process of translating scriptures in Sanskrit, as if the one doing it has the face of a one of those sickly-sweet false Guru-s, all the time smiling while he translates comfortably "terrifying scriptures" from Sanskrit. But I do not translate scriptures like that. NO. I am not either full of incense sticks and holy people around in an impressive community replete with scholars from India helping me at every moment, etc. No, I translate all this in a little hole called "my room", in the middle of a neighborhood full of ignorant people that do anything but worshiping their Lord, and even near the biggest casino in South America (no jokes), where roulette croupiers cast balls all the time, in a noisy like hell quarter forsaken by God, etc. I am completely alone in this because my collaborators cannot help me yet in such spooky tasks as fighting the goddess known as Sanskrit. Therefore, I am mostly crawling my way due to the time-consuming "word by word" translation, but advancing tenaciously anyway while mother ignorance throws at me all at hand in this cemetery full of corpses (ignorant people) where only the Supreme Goddess is fully Alive. If this is not a fight, what else could it be?
    4. I wanted to make all that clear because I frequently receive e-mails where the visitors want to contact "the supposed group of Sanskrit translators" or "the big offline community", and things like that. There is nothing of that at the moment except in the imagination of those visitors.
    5. Enjoy!
  17. 08/24: Origin of the Indo-European languages: Part III Details
    1. Our collaborators, Paulo and Claudio, translated even another page of the Linguistics section into Brazilian Portuguese: Origin of the Indo-European languages: Part III
    2. Enjoy!
  18. 08/21: Origin of the Indo-European languages: Part II Details
    1. Our collaborators, Paulo and Claudio, continue translating the pages of the Linguistics section into Brazilian Portuguese: Origin of the Indo-European languages: Part II
    2. Enjoy!
  19. 08/19: Stanzas 87 to 91 in Paramārthasāra Details
    1. The stanzas 87 to 91 in Paramārthasāra are now totally translated together with their commentaries.
    2. Fabulous teachings for the reader to delight in. Yes, the commentator's style of writing continues being a chore (specially the one displayed in the commentary on the stanzas 90-91), but I could beat it in the end. Another battle won and this war against mother ignorance is about to be over: Only 14 stanzas and commentaries to go!
    3. Enjoy!
  20. 08/17: Origin of the Indo-European languages: Part I Details
    1. Paulo and Claudio have begun translating the pages of the Linguistics section into Brazilian Portuguese: Origin of the Indo-European languages: Part I
    2. Enjoy!
  21. 08/10: Stanzas 83 to 86 in Paramārthasāra Details
    1. The stanzas 83 to 86 in Paramārthasāra are now thoroughly translated along with their commentaries.
    2. All of them were great obstacles, but I must say that the final two were really spooky because the commentator wrote once again as if chased by Genghis Khan. Rest assured that the task of translating those stanzas and their commentary is not for the faint of heart or for the people that whine at the least obstacle. Only a scholar can understand another scholar regarding the magnitude of the efforts that are to be made to get divine Knowledge from the scriptures... this is a great truth I read somewhere.
    3. Paulo and Claudio, with their translation into Brazilian Portuguese of Sanskrit Tool Kit and FAQ1-Sanskrit, have finally finished translating the whole Sanskrit section! This is good news for the Portuguese-speaking people indeed!
    4. Enjoy!
  22. 08/05: Sacred Mantra-s in Brazilian Portuguese Details
    1. This is a huge translation by our collaborators, Paulo and Claudio: Sacred Mantra-s (which includes the two subdocuments associated with this page, namely: Sacred Mantra-s 1 and 2, which in turn contain numerous subdocuments too!). All in all, their effort has been really impressive this time.
    2. With the addition of this new massive translation, the Sanskrit section of the website is now "almost" completely translated into Brazilian Portuguese then.
    3. Enjoy!
  23. 07/24: Stanzas 79 to 82 in Paramārthasāra Details
    1. The stanzas 79 to 82 in Paramārthasāra are now totally translated along with their commentaries.
    2. The great obstacle here was the stanzas 79-80 and their respective commentary. It is extremely complex and deep like the ocean. The meaning will be completely revealed by my future notes of explanation then. To translate the other two stanzas (81 and 82) and their commentaries was "a piece of cake" in comparison! Anyway, what is always time-consuming, apart from the "word by word" translation, is that I have to write and correct all in two languages, adapting the grammatical structures conveniently.
    3. Only 23 stanzas and commentaries are left to translate!
    4. Enjoy!
  24. 07/13: Stanzas 75 to 78 in Paramārthasāra Details
    1. The stanzas 75 to 78 in Paramārthasāra are now completely translated together with their commentaries.
    2. The formidable dragon (the translator destroyer) this time was the stanza 78 without a doubt. Along with the involved writing style of Abhinavagupta and the commentator, the teaching contained in that stanza and its commentary is so deep like the ocean. You have to read it to realize the meaning of my words. In fact, the entire set of four stanzas whose translation I am now publishing cannot be "fully" understood unless one be an enlightened being, a jīvanmukta, a person who is liberated while living. Of course that my future notes of explanation will clarify many things for you, but in the case of this special set of four stanzas, direct experience is of the essence to completely grasp their esoteric purport.
    3. Now I am a little closer to the goal called "the end of the scripture". I am totally pleased with that!
    4. Enjoy!
  25. 07/11: Pronunciation (6) to (9) in Brazilian Portuguese Details
    1. As our collaborators, Paulo and Claudio, are "on fire", they also finished translating the remaining documents dealing with Sanskrit pronunciation: Pronunciation (6), Pronunciation (7), Pronunciation (8) and Pronunciation (9).
    2. Enjoy!
  26. 07/10: Pronunciation (2) to (5) together with the Śivasūtra-s in Brazilian Portuguese Details
    1. Our collaborators, Paulo and Claudio, have been working hard! They translated the following documents of the Sanskrit section into their native language: Pronunciation (2), Pronunciation (3), Pronunciation (4) and Pronunciation (5).
    2. Additionally, they also translated the venerable Śivasūtra-s. In this way, Portuguese-speaking people can now enjoy this great Trika scripture in their own language!
    3. Enjoy!
  27. 07/08: Syntax (1) and Translating (1) in Brazilian Portuguese Details
    1. Our collaborators, Paulo and Claudio, are doing a great job! They translated two more documents into their native language: Syntax (1) and Translating (1).
    2. With these new translations, the subsections "Syntax" and "Translating" are now completely available in Brazilian Portuguese.
    3. Enjoy!
  28. 07/04: Affixes (1) in Brazilian Portuguese Details
    1. Our collaborators, Paulo and Claudio, are "on fire". They translated another long document into Brazilian Portuguese: Affixes (1).
    2. With this new translation, the subsection "Affixes" is now totally available in Brazilian Portuguese.
    3. Enjoy!
  29. 06/27: Compounds (1) in Brazilian Portuguese Details
    1. Our collaborators, Paulo and Claudio, translated one long document into Brazilian Portuguese: Compounds (1).
    2. With this new translation, the subsection "Compounds" is now entirely available in Brazilian Portuguese.
    3. Enjoy!
  30. 06/19: Stanzas 71 to 74 in Paramārthasāra Details
    1. The stanzas 71 to 74 in Paramārthasāra are now fully translated together with their commentaries.
    2. The great dragon (the translator destroyer) here was the stanza 74. It was difficult to kill because after having translated 73 commentaries composed as if the commentator had been chased by Genghis Khan while writing, I got really fed up with his extremely involved style. These are things that only another Sanskrit translator can understand. Many people will read the text and will say: "It is rather clear!". The problem is in Sanskrit all the time and not in English, let alone Spanish (my native language). All in all, the final portion of the stanza 74 was translated by me with fury till the damn creature finally died. Oh well, I am not a peaceful yogī with a big sickly-sweet smile on my face all day long for the cameras. Those are the false Guru-s who are extremely nice but completely ignorant at the same time. To translate Sanskrit, specially involved Sanskrit like that of Yogarāja, you must have a different attitude. A big smile will not do the trick against a host of stanzas and commentaries written by great sages endowed with massive knowledge and wisdom, that is sure thing. You have to be tenacious like hell to overcome all the inherent difficulties. And this task will not make you a smiling guy, because after several hours thinking about what the heck another guy really meant in a particular paragraph you will not be very happy, this is sure thing too. The task of translating Sanskrit is always hard like the skin of a shark, and no way that the ones doing it will be very happy with that for the most part. Every time I finish translating something in Sanskrit, I constantly feel that the author could have written it in an easier manner... but no way, this is a kind of war and the enemy will give you no mercy.
    3. This Sanskrit ignorance pervading the entire world is losing a battle here very quickly. This pleases me so much, no doubt about it!
    4. Enjoy!
  31. 06/14: Verb (2) and Verbs (3) in Brazilian Portuguese Details
    1. Our collaborators, Paulo and Claudio, translated two long documents into Brazilian Portuguese: Verbs (2) and Verbs (3).
    2. With these two new translations, the subsection "Verbs" is now entirely available in Brazilian Portuguese.
    3. Enjoy!
  32. 06/08: Stanzas 67 to 70 in Paramārthasāra Details
    1. The stanzas 67 to 70 in Paramārthasāra are now thoroughly translated together with their commentaries.
    2. This time I had to kill two dragons in a row, but surprisingly I am not tired at all.
    3. The greatest dragon was the stanza 67 and its commentary, where the level of Sanskrit difficulty was high. Anyway, in my opinion, that is also the most important stanza (and commentary) in this set of four.
    4. Two thirds of the scripture are translated by now (70 stanzas and commentaries out of 105). I am ready to eliminate all the remaining obstacles and finish the task I undertook the last year then, no doubt about it.
    5. Enjoy!
  33. 05/28: Stanzas 63 to 66 in Paramārthasāra Details
    1. The stanzas 63 to 66 in Paramārthasāra are now totally translated together with their commentaries.
    2. Oh, my intellect is so tired that I will not comment anything about my work, except that the task of translating all that was simply like fighting a dragon during around eleven days. The dragon is now dead then and this is good news for the readers.
    3. Enjoy!
  34. 05/17: Stanzas 59 to 62 in Paramārthasāra Details
    1. The stanzas 59 to 62 in Paramārthasāra are now fully translated along with their respective commentaries.
    2. The stanza 60 and its commentary are a real jewel because they explain in detail what Trika defines as "Liberation". Fortunately such a description coincides with what I have been saying about Liberation in Trika for so many years. It would have been a real misfortune if Abhinavagupta and Yogarāja had said a different thing about the subject. Why? Because I would have had to search and delete so many lines of text already written and published on this huge website. The good news is that I will not have to delete anything at all. Just kidding!
    3. The commentary on the stanza 59 is not a translator-killer but something much worse... a translator-terror would be a better name. The Sanskrit style is so involved and tricky that the fact that my intellect could interpret and translate it was quite a feat (no jokes here). It was so difficult to translate that I had to laugh at every step while translating that little monster, specially at the beginning of it.
    4. The remaining two stanzas (61 and 62) were relatively simple to translate.
    5. The intellect of the reader will suffer a little this time because the commentator (Yogarāja) wrote sentences "miles long" that are impossible to divide into shorter ones due to the constant presence of, e.g. correlatives. Correlatives in Sanskrit are "usually" two words that are subtly joined, e.g. "just as... in the same way/similarly/even so". The problem with Yogarāja's style of writing is that between a "just as" and a "in the same way", for instance, there are tons of words forcing the reader to forget the correlation with "just as" when he reaches "in the same way". I tried hard to make the sentences so clear and readable as possible by using hyphens and other tricks of translator, but I had to make some compromises in order to keep the literal meaning without alteration on my part. The eternal problem with these scriptures is always the involved Sanskrit style full of long sentences and strange ways of expressing it all. Remember that this scripture dates from the 12th century anyway. So, it cannot be read like a novelette or something. NO, it generally demands an important intellectual effort on the part of the reader.
    6. In the future I will add the respective notes of explanation. This will clarify many things for you. Be patient in the meantime then.
    7. Enjoy!
  35. 05/06: Stanzas 55 to 58 in Paramārthasāra Details
    1. The stanzas 55 to 58 in Paramārthasāra are now thoroughly translated together with their corresponding commentaries.
    2. These stanzas and their respective commentaries contain a precious spiritual knowledge the reader should not miss out.
    3. To translate all those stanzas and commentaries was relatively easy except for the usual difficulties with adapting Sanskrit to English for delivering a text that is both literal and readable. So, there was no translator-destroyer this time.
    4. Enjoy!
  36. 04/28: Stanzas 51 to 54 in Paramārthasāra Details
    1. The stanzas 51 to 54 in Paramārthasāra are now fully translated together with their respective commentaries.
    2. Provided the reader has read the previous stanzas, to understand the present stanzas 51 to 54 (plus commentaries) will be no problem to him.
    3. The translation of those stanzas and their commentaries was not either a difficult task. So, there was not any translator-destroyer this time... my good luck!
    4. Enjoy!
  37. 04/21: Stanzas 44 to 50 in Paramārthasāra Details
    1. The stanzas 44 to 50 in Paramārthasāra are now completely translated along with their corresponding commentaries.
    2. The stanza 44 and its commentary can be easily understood by the average reader, provided he had read the rest of the scripture, of course.
    3. The stanza 45 is completely "out of the mental arena". That knowledge can only be understood by very advanced disciples and great sages. I am surprised that Abhinavagupta included this in a scripture that is mainly intended for beginners in Trika. Now one realizes why the great Master was known as Śeṣa (the celebrated fearsome thousand-headed serpent) among his tender pupils (the beginners). Evidently, Abhinavagupta, being endowed with massive experience and knowledge, had to be a spooky personage in the eyes of his "baby" pupils, hehe. The commentary written by Yogarāja is somewhat clarifying but yet very difficult to understand if one lacks direct experience about the subject being dealt with in this absolutely non-mental stanza. In my future notes of explanation I will show a simple example to explain all that in the easiest possible way within the usual mental limitations. For the ones who are interested in going deep at the subject right now, they can read Parāprāveśikā meanwhile.
    4. The stanza 46 is also difficult to understand without direct experience. Anyway, it is not so difficult as the previous one. Consult the Tattvic Chart when you read this stanza and its commentary, please, so you will come to understand some things much better.
    5. The stanzas 47 to 50 are not difficult to understand, in my opinion. But yes, their commentary is lengthy as an ocean indeed. I marked in the translation the end of the commentaries on each of the stanzas for making the reader's life easier. The final portion of the stanza 50 has several possible translations. I just gave two. The commentator did not shed light on the real meaning of that portion but he rather took for granted that the reader would know what Abhinavagupta was talking about.
    6. Finally, regarding the matter: "What was the translator-destroyer?", hehe: The commentary on the stanza 46 was the winner, no doubt about it. The commentator writes in such a complex way that it is just ridiculous. Fortunately for the average reader, there is no intellect-destroyer in his case except perhaps the stanza 45 (which is not really an intellect-destroyer because no intellect can fully apprehend the Truth in it without direct experience first).
    7. Enjoy!
  38. 04/11: Declension - Indeclinables Details
    1. The document Declension - Indeclinables was completely translated into Brazilian Portuguese by our collaborators Paulo and Claudio.
    2. Enjoy!
  39. 04/07: Stanzas 40 to 43 in Paramārthasāra Details
    1. The stanzas 40 to 43 in Paramārthasāra are now thoroughly translated together with their respective commentaries.
    2. The stanza 40 and its commentary can be easily understood by the average reader.
    3. The stanza 41 and its commentary are tricky not only due to the constant long sentences written by the commentator but also because you must have read the previous 40 stanzas to understand to a certain extent the entire question about the three eggs. Besides, this stanza and commentary start to speak about Sat or Being, a topic that will require a lengthy note of explanation very probably (for the ones who are interested in learning about Sat or Being, I must say that they should read the explanation of the Sauḥ Mantra in Parāprāveśikā).
    4. The stanza 42 and its commentary are easily understandable but there is a mention of "the development of the madhyaśakti" there, which is again a little complex. Madhyaśakti or middle power is developed every time you pay attention to the middle portion between two things, two movements, etc. (e.g. when you meditate on the gap between inhalation and exhalation, etc.).
    5. The stanza 43 and its commentary deal with the third Brahma where Sat or Being (all the tattva-s from Māyā --tattva 6-- to Pṛthivī --tattva 36--) comes to ultimately rest on the achievement of Final Liberation (also called Self-realization). Read the Tattvic Chart while you await my detailed future notes of explanation so you will have a better idea about what I said. There are some quotes in the commentary that require a certain knowledge of Indian philosophies in order to understand their full meaning, but the average readers will be OK for the most part. I also recommend to read my study of the Sanskrit letters for having a better understanding of what the commentator meant to say by "seed letters known as Imperishable": First Steps (4) and First Steps (5). Finally, the third Brahma mentioned there is Sadāśiva (tattva 3) while the first and second Brahma are Śiva and Śakti (tattva-s 1 and 2). This use of the word Brahma in Trika is a little tricky too.
    6. The stanza 41 and its commentary were a translator-destroyer, unfortunately. The Sanskrit style of the commentator there, very specially in his introduction to that stanza, is from another galaxy, hehe. To arrange the entire word by word translation in a way that was both literal and readable consumed an enormous quantity of my intellectual resources.
    7. Enjoy!
  40. 04/05: Declension (2) Details
    1. Paulo and Claudio translated Declension (2) for all our dear Portuguese-speaking visitors.
    2. Enjoy!
  41. 03/27: Stanzas 36 to 39 in Paramārthasāra Details
    1. The stanzas 36 to 39 in Paramārthasāra are now completely translated along with their respective commentaries.
    2. The new stuff will be mostly legible to the average reader. The only translator-destroyer was the commentary on the stanza 37 (I almost passed away there, hehe) because although I am used to the extremely involved Sanskrit style of Yogarāja, in his commentary on that stanza he has made all possible effort to write in such a difficult manner that I needed the assistance of the entire group of 300 million gods of the Hindu pantheon in order to understand him. Yes, I am exaggerating, but one thing is true: These three sages, Yogarāja, his Guru Kṣemarāja and his great-grand Guru Abhinavagupta, form a triad that can easily liquidate any translator if he/she is too self-confident. They write in ways only a demigod can understand. If you are a rookie in Sanskrit grammar, you better stay away from the writings of those three great sages of the Trika tradition since they have not evidently written for you to make your first steps in Sanskrit.
    3. Enjoy!
  42. 03/17: Stanzas 32 to 35 in Paramārthasāra Details
    1. The stanzas 32 to 35 in Paramārthasāra are now completely translated together with their respective commentaries.
    2. There is only one intellect-destroyer now, the commentary on the stanza 33, but only in the case of the poor translator who almost passed away in the process of understanding and translating the synthetic and cryptic Sanskrit style of the commentator. Anyway, the average readers who are interested in Non-dual Shaivism of Kashmir should not have any problem reading these stanzas, except maybe in the case of the stanza 35 where some basic knowledge about Vedānta system is required. And, of course, there are also hidden meanings, as usual in the Trika scriptures, which I will explain in future Bible-size notes of explanation surely.
    3. Enjoy!
  43. 02/26: Stanzas 28 to 31 in Paramārthasāra along with Declination (1) Details
    1. First: The stanzas 28 to 31 in Paramārthasāra were totally translated along with their respective commentaries.
    2. These stanzas will need many and long notes of explanation, as usual, specially the last two (30 and 31), whose commentaries are "authentic" intellect-destroyers even in English! (let alone in Sanskrit, where the complexity is just laughable!). As Yogarāja seems to be stepping on the accelerator to the floor, the task of translating his commentary is turning out to be a particularly serious one.
    3. Second: Paulo and Claudio translated Declination (1) into Brazilian Portuguese too! This is good news for Portuguese-speaking visitors, no doubt about it!
    4. Enjoy!
  44. 02/17: Paramārthasāra: I published the remaining stanzas and commentaries (untranslated yet) Details
    1. All the remaining stanzas and commentaries of Paramārthasāra (from stanza 28 to stanza 105) are now published. Yes, they are still untranslated but there you have them both in original Sanskrit and transliterated.
    2. It was horribly time-consuming to build all those pages in three languages, correcting Sandhi (combination of words in Sanskrit), etc. in the process, but it serves two purposes now: (1) Sanskrit scholars will be able to read the rest of the scripture in case they do not have a copy of it already, (2) Non-scholars will be able to behold the immensity of their Sanskrit ignorance. Joking! The great purpose behind my hard work was to have the entire scripture "already" written for future translations. Yes, I could have done that horrible/boring task "little by little" as I continued to translate, but I prefer to "swallow" the bitter things first and quick, you know.
    3. Enjoy!
  45. 02/15: Sandhi Rules Details
    1. Our collaborators Paulo and Claudio translated Sandhi Rules into Brazilian Portuguese.
    2. With this update, I can affirm that the Sanskrit/Combination subsection is now entirely in Brazilian Portuguese.
    3. Enjoy!
  46. 02/14: Combination (7) Details
    1. Our collaborators Paulo and Claudio finished translating Combination (7) into Brazilian Portuguese too!
    2. Enjoy!
  47. 02/11: Combination (6) Details
    1. Our collaborators Paulo and Claudio are making a great effort: They finished translating Combination (6) into Brazilian Portuguese for you!
    2. Enjoy!
  48. 02/10: Stanzas 24 to 27 in Paramārthasāra Details
    1. I translated the stanzas 24 to 27 in Paramārthasāra (along with their commentaries, of course). I did not add any note of explanation yet.
    2. The stanza 24 defines the three Mala-s or Impurities with great precision. The stanza 25 speaks about the confusion of the Self who, though non-dual, considers Himself to be dual. The stanza 26 explains that all the states belong to Lord Śiva. And the stanza 27 points out the fact that the Truth as stated by other philosophies (such as Yogācāra Buddhism, Advaitavedānta and the Vedic tradition in general together with the systems Vaiśeṣika, Nyāya, Cārvāka, etc.) are mere empiric discourse; all in all, those systems do not show the Truth at all.
    3. Stanzas 24, 25 and 26 are rather understandable to the average reader even without my notes of explanation, but the stanza 27 requires a lot of knowledge about the philosophical systems of India as a whole. You are warned then. I will explain all this later on by one gazillion long notes as always.
    4. Enjoy!
  49. 02/08: Combination (5) Details
    1. Here we go again!: Paulo and Claudio translated Combination (5) into Brazilian Portuguese.
    2. Enjoy!
  50. 02/01: Combination (4) Details
    1. Paulo and Claudio did it again! Now Combination (4) has been completely translated into Brazilian Portuguese.
    2. Enjoy!
  51. 01/31: Combination (3) Details
    1. Paulo and Claudio, our collaborators, have finished their translation of Combination (3) into Brazilian Portuguese.
    2. Enjoy!
  52. 01/27: Stanzas 20 to 23 in Paramārthasāra Details
    1. I translated the stanzas 20 to 23 in Paramārthasāra (no notes of explanation yet, but the text is once again very simple to understand provided you know the Tattvic scheme of Trika). By the stanzas 20, 21 and 22, the formation of Powers of Perception, Powers of Action, Subtle Elements and Gross elements is explained. And the stanza 23 describes as the tattva or category 13 and its emission (tattva-s 14 to 36) act as another Kañcuka or Sheath covering a limited individual.
    2. Enjoy!
  53. 01/26: Combination (2) Details
    1. Now, our collaborators Paulo and Claudio translated Combination (2) into Brazilian Portuguese too!
    2. Enjoy!
  54. 01/25: Combination (1) Details
    1. Our collaborators Paulo and Claudio translated Combination (1) into Brazilian Portuguese. They are evidently on a translating spree, hehe!
    2. Enjoy!
  55. 01/24: Sandhi in action (1) Details
    1. Our collaborators Paulo and Claudio translated Sandhi in action (1) into Brazilian Portuguese.
    2. Enjoy!
  56. 01/20: Stanzas 18 and 19 in Paramārthasāra Details
    1. I translated the stanzas 18 and 19 in Paramārthasāra (no notes of explanation yet, but the text is again... clear enough, I suppose). The 18th stanza explains how to get rid of human limitations according to the Trika system. And the 19th stanza starts to describe the formation of the inner psychic organ from the Prakṛti (the Matrix).
    2. As always, the delay in publishing all the Sanskrit stuff was never related to "Sanskrit" itself really, but to "how to adapt all that to the English and Spanish languages so the text was so legible as possible".
    3. Enjoy!
  57. 01/15: Stanzas 16 and 17 in Paramārthasāra Details
    1. I translated the stanzas 16 and 17 in Paramārthasāra (no notes of explanation yet, but the text is clear enough, I suppose... at least in the case of readers with IQ 150+... haha, joking!). They contain a complete study of human limitations according to the Trika system.
    2. I wrote the stanzas 18 to 27 in advance (together with their commentaries, of course). They still remain untranslated.
    3. Enjoy!
  58. 01/07: Site of the Year 2012 in the DFSL! Details
    1. I chose the Site of the Year 2012 in the DFSL. Congratulations to the winner!
    2. Enjoy!

2012

  1. 12/23: Paramārthasāra (stanzas 14 and 15) Details
    1. After a conflicting month with so many problems with my internet connection, I am publishing now a massive update: Paramārthasāra (stanzas 14 and 15). This update contains a lot of mysteries revealed by myself, because the commentator writes about them but he draws a thick veil on all those secret teachings. For example, in my notes of explanation I teach how the 70 million mantra-s were created and many other things kept in secrecy by the Trika tradition. I wrote so much till I almost fell asleep on the keyboard really. It is so far my richest update of this scripture.
    2. The tattva-s 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 an 6 are dealt with by these two stanzas and respective commentaries. Besides, as another set of stanzas is finished, I also published the respective "pure translations" (Sanskrit at minimum).
    3. I offer all my work to the Great Lord who reveals the mysteries kept hidden for so many centuries.
    4. Enjoy!
  2. 11/29: Paramārthasāra (stanzas 12 and 13) Details
    1. Well, now my first big update after the full renovation of this website: Paramārthasāra (stanzas 12 and 13). This update is a long one really (and yes, it took endless hours of effort as always), with six extensive notes of explanation making everything so easy for you as possible. I could finish it all through His compassionate act of Grace bestowal, because there are many mysteries contained in those stanzas and their commentary that can only be properly understood by His Mercy and not otherwise. This is generally so every time I translate scriptures, but I wanted to make it clear regarding these two stanzas specially.
    2. With those stanzas, the two sages (the author of the original scripture and the commentator) will describe the relationship between the Lord and the universe by the well-known doctrine of reflection (at least, well-known to Trika followers, hehe).
    3. Through the way the new website is built, I can save many hours of boring tasks involving codes and more codes. Now all that is automated, fortunately. My work now is then "mainly" focused on Trika and Sanskrit, and the codes "question" is handled by the website itself automatically.
    4. Enjoy!
  3. 11/23: Log: New feature Details
    1. The way the Log works has been reformed by Zoltán. Now you will see there only the "title" of the news published right here (English-home). At the end of the title you will see a new link called "Details". Click on it and have the entire news "expanded". Great feature!
    2. For now this new feature affects all the news since 12/23/2011, but it is expected to affect even much older news later.
    3. Enjoy!
  4. 11/20: List of pages with enabled comments Details
    1. In the news that precedes this one, I gave you the names and links of the pages where you can post your comments (once you have registered, of course). But that previous news will grow older and older as time passes by till one day it will not be shown any more here, on the English-Home page. In order for the visitors not to experience extreme frustration trying to remember or even searching those special pages where I allow comments, Zoltán built a dynamically updated page containing a list with all the pages where you can post your comments: List of pages with enabled comments. So, if in the future I add more pages permitting comments, I will have to write nothing there, on that list, but it will rather get updated automatically as I enable comments in those pages. The entire process is dynamic then. And the titles of the pages are comfortably listed in alphabetical order for you to find very quickly the page you are looking for.
    2. And how to access that list? There are four methods: 1) Through "Essentials/Other/Enabled comments" in the accordion menu situated at the right of every page of this website, 2) Through a simple text link "enabled comments" in the above secondary navigation bar (... | enabled comments | contact), 3) Through the "Essentials/Other/Enabled comments" on the "Sitemap", a page you easily access via the accordion menu (in Essentials/Important) or else by means of a link at the end of the above primary navigation bar (... Software   Help   Sitemap), 4) You can even access that page containing the list through the "Tour", by clicking on Tour in the above primary navigation bar (... Fonts   Tour   Blog...); next you click on "Start the Tour!" and go to the "Essentials section" there; once you are there, you will have finally to look for the "Other" subsection and that is it. Yes most visitors will use the second method, obviously, but it is always useful to know how to get to the stuff you want by other ways too.
    3. Enjoy!
  5. 11/16: Terms of use & Privacy and Security statement updated - Comments enabled in some Trika scriptures Details
    1. The Terms of use as well as the Privacy and Security statement have been updated!
    2. Comments have been enabled in the following Trika scriptures (in the Main Page and also under the rest of pages the translation is composed of, when applicable): Śivasūtra-s, Śivasūtravimarśinī, Spandanirṇaya, Spandakārikā-s, Parāprāveśikā, Ṣaṭtriṁśattattvasandoha, Svātantryasūtram, Svātantryasūtravṛtti and Abhinavagupta's Paramārthasāra. To be able to comment under those documents you will need to "register" first, obviously. Once the process of registration is over, simply log in and go to some (or all of those pages) to add your comments when you wish so.
    3. Enjoy!
  6. 11/12: THE WEBSITE HAS BEEN FINALLY RENOVATED IN ITS ENTIRETY! Details
    1. Hey, what happened to the website?! Surprise! Yes, it has been finally renovated in its entirety!
    2. This has been mostly (99%) the work of Zoltán --his profile is right at the bottom of the page the link bearing his name leads to-- (with a very beautiful exclusive design by Albert Bochnert), our most recent collaborator from Hungary ("Magyarország", in Hungarian language). The entire renovation of the website has taken about five months of hard work! Congratulations Zoltán on your immense effort!
    3. What is new then? Everything except the content:
    1. The website is now fully "dynamic" (by using solid PHP and MySQL) in opposition to its old version which was mostly "static".
    2. The first consequence of such a drastic change is that now I will be able to devote much more time to my main activity: "Sanskrit and its universe" instead of to "dealing with codes and more codes, manually for the most part".
    3. The second consequence of this massive change will be that the website will become more useful to the visitors in many ways, e.g. they will be able to comment under certain pages I will select later (not under all of them because with more than 300 documents per language, I would be replying comments for the rest of my life, haha). To comment, the visitor will have to "Register", of course. The process is very simple to understand indeed.
    4. The content of the website is based on solid HTML5, the latest markup language. HTML5 is so new that if it is used in a "raw" way, it will not work on certain old browsers. Anyway, it will work on this website even if the visitor uses an old browser thanks to certain methods implemented by Zoltán to emulate old versions of HTML. The experience is totally transparent to the visitor. Yes, it is always better to have the latest version of any browser but even though you do not have it yet, our website will continue working for you as always.
    5. It is easier to change the design of the whole website when it is dynamic, specially if the website is big like ours.
    6. Extreme SEO (search engine optimization).
    7. As a Sanskrit scholar, you will never see bad transliterations on this website (e.g. "Paramarthasara", the "wrongly written" name of the scripture I have been recently translating) but rather good transliteration: "Paramārthasāra". This is inevitable in my case. Nonetheless, the drawback in my perfectionism is that most people will search "as non-scholars", e.g. "Paramarthasara" or even "Paramartha sara" in search engines like Google, Yahoo!, Bing, etc. In this way, they will be very likely not to discover my newest translation even in their best dreams, hehe. But that is gone now with the "Wrongly written words vs. Rightly written words" list implemented by Zoltán. Through that workaround, people searching "Paramarthasara", for example, will find the website sooner or later. The current number of words on that list is immense now, and it will increase as I add more and more terms in the future. Yes, this will bring more visitors to the website indeed! Of course, this process will be a gradual one. Not that this website will be in page 1 of all the search engines overnight, but the odds of finding the website will undoubtedly increase colossally over the time. This solution puts and end to the eternal complaint: "I search Shiva on Google and never find your website!" as well as to my eternal answer: "This is so because I write that word correctly in IAST transliteration: Śiva". Yes, with words that are so common as "Shiva" (search it on Google and see the quantity of results), the website will not be in page 1 of the search engine in a few days, months or even years, but there are many other Sanskrit terms to be considered too. All in all, this solution by Zoltán is quite a blessing!
    8. Complete support for mobile devices of all type.
    9. There are more consequences coming from the renovation:
    1. A comfortable accordion menu on the right, which fits better than the previous dropdown menu in the screen of little mobile devices. This menu is fully functional even if Javascript is disabled on the browser of the visitor, as it will appear completely expanded to him in that case. Besides, a warning will come up containing a link to a page with the solution, i.e. the way to "enable Javascript in the major browsers".
    2. Easier access to the version of a page in the other languages.
    3. Support for RSS feeds as before but now more stylish.
    4. The translators that collaborate with me will be able to translate the pages much more easily, without so much interaction with me. Now, they will interact with the website itself and consequently the translations will be created faster. This will also give me more time for publishing fresh content.
    5. Presence of a "breadcrumbs-based navigation" on top of all the pages. Now the visitor will know exactly "where he is at every moment". And by clicking on the components of the breadcrumbs trail, he will access to a list of pages present in that section. For example, if you go to "Alphabet (English)" and watch the breadcrumbs on top of that page: "English-Home > Essentials > Alphabet > Alphabet (English)", you can click on, e.g. "Essentials", and get a list of all the documents under that section. This makes navigation a piece of cake, lol! Yes, it is immensely helpful to the visitor, no doubt about it.
    6. And much more!
    1. If you notice that the website is "kind of broken" somewhere or that it contains some typos, let me know, please. As the change is so colossal, it is very probable that something might have got broken in the process despite our many tests over the last five months.
    2. All this work is offered at the feet of Lord Śiva!
    3. Enjoy!
  7. 10/21: Twelve notes of explanation - Stanzas 10 and 11 of Paramārthasāra Details
    1. Have I been "idle" all this time? NO! I was writing 12 long notes of explanation that elucidate the hidden meanings contained in the stanzas 10 and 11 of Paramārthasāra .
    2. I also added, as always, a pure translation (Sanskrit at minimum). Additionally, as usual too, I updated the versions of Paramārthasāra in signs and transliteration only.
    3. Enjoy!
  8. 10/08: The four schools of Trika Details
    1. I published on Site 2 a summary dealing with the four schools of the Trika system : Spanda, Pratyabhijñā, Kaula and Krama.
    2. Enjoy!
  9. 10/01: Stanzas 9, 10 and 11 Details
    1. I added five notes of explanation to elucidate obscure points in the stanza 9 of Paramārthasāra and its respective commentary.
    2. Additionally, I translated the stanzas 10 and 11 along with their commentary. Unfortunately, the commentary will be extremely difficult to understand to the average reader since the commentator (Yogarāja) has now started to "step on the accelerator". I could say that the core of this scripture has just begun to be displayed through this short but abstruse commentary. I will have to write many long notes of explanation to make clear all the crucial teachings hidden in the commentary itself. I must say that this commentary is the richest one I have ever read in my entire life. You will understand the meaning of my words once you can read my future notes of explanation. Apparently, the teaching given by the commentator seems to be "simple", but appearances are deceitful in this case as there is much more to it. In fact, one could fill up an entire volume in order to fully explain this commentary.
    3. Enjoy!
  10. 09/12: Stanza 9 of Paramārthasāra Details
    1. I translated the 9 th stanza of Paramārthasāra together with its commentary.
    2. Fortunately, the text is simple to understand, in my opinion. Anyway, I am right now writing the respective notes of explanation to make your life easier.
    3. Enjoy!
  11. 09/04: Four notes of explanation - Stanza 8 of Paramārthasāra Details
    1. By means of 4 notes of explanation, I elucidate the mysteries contained in the 8 th stanza of Paramārthasāra and its respective commentary.
    2. Enjoy!
  12. 08/30: Stanza 8 of Paramārthasāra Details
    1. I translated the 8 th stanza of Paramārthasāra together with its commentary.
    2. Unfortunately, the text is not very simple to understand without my notes of explanation. I am writing them right now and they will be hopefully published within a few days.
    3. Enjoy!
  13. 08/24: Site 2: Non-dual Shaivism of Kashmir - Origin Details
    1. New post on "Site 2": Non-dual Shaivism of Kashmir - Origin .
    2. Enjoy!
  14. 08/12: Blog - Comments Details
    1. The Blog now accepts comments by registered users. If you want to comment, go and register then!
    2. The eternal problem with enabling comments in blogs is "spam", which is not surprising considering the foolish nature of this world. Therefore, I added so many security measures as possible to keep spam at bay.
    3. Besides, passwords must be 10 characters long "at least" (and obligatorily there must be "at least again" one character in lowercase, another in uppercase, one number -0 to 9- and one symbol -e.g. % $ / and the like-). For example: aH1Lt&oP6% is a good example of the minimum required password. If your password is even longer, much better for you and me. As it is obvious, do not use that example as your password, all right? If your password does not meet the minimum requirements, the blog itself will inform you about what you have to do to meet them. No way for you to miss the target then.
    4. Additionally, if you add sequential characters (e.g. abcd) in your password, the blog will not accept it and you will have to change its structure. Oh my God, I am Captain Security, hehe. Joking apart, most people have no idea about how to write good passwords, hence all these security measures. For instance, they will use their own nicknames, or the names of their pets, or words extracted from the dictionary, etc. All this represents a security hole for a blog owner because if your password is weak and someone easily deciphers it, he will enter the blog in your name and will try to put his "garbage" into the blog somehow. Next, if he succeeds, that garbage could be pushed into the browsers of other innocent people visiting the blog. As people ignore all these things for the most part, they mostly get angry with a blog owner implementing so many security measures when... hey... the name of their dog should suffice as a strong password after all, no jokes. Of course, if the name of your dog is $1gHkLMb7& or something like that "at the very least", you can use it as your password in my blog, hehe.
    5. Avatars are allowed too (no, I am not speaking about avatars like Lord Kṛṣṇa here but about this ). The best way to have your avatar working in the comments is "by signing up at Gravatar.com " because my blog works in conjunction with their service. Once you sign up there, build a profile and add the image (even your own photo if you wish so) you want to use as your avatar in the comments. The rest of the process is automatic. Avatars are good to trace comments of a particular person (e.g. myself).
    6. Happy commenting!
    7. Enjoy!
  15. 08/09: Six notes of explanation - Stanza 7 of Paramārthasāra Details
    1. I added 6 notes of explanation under the 7 th stanza of Paramārthasāra , by which I finished the set of stanzas 4 to 7 .
    2. I added a pure translation (Sanskrit at minimum) of the stanzas 4 to 7 and their respective commentaries.
    3. I updated the versions of Paramārthasāra in signs and Paramārthasāra in IAST .
    4. Enjoy!
  16. 08/06: Stanza 7 of Paramārthasāra Details
    1. I translated the 7 th stanza of Paramārthasāra together with its commentary.
    2. The text is rather simple to understand even without my notes of explanation. Anyway, I am in the process of writing them now for all of your possible doubts to be dissipated.
    3. Enjoy!
  17. 07/30: Site 2: Non-dual Shaivism of Rosario - Origin Details
    1. New post on "Site 2": Non-dual Shaivism of Rosario - Origin .
    2. Enjoy!
  18. 07/24: Stanza 6 of Paramārthasāra: Notes Details
    1. By 9 notes, I explain the Paramārthasāra's 6 th stanza (and its respective commentary) to you.
    2. Enjoy!
  19. 07/18: Site 2 Details
    1. All right, now the " Site 2 " (www.parabhairavayoga.com) is formally inaugurated with the arrival of the first post!
    2. Enjoy!
  20. 07/13: Andika Details
    1. I configured the Andika font as the default font for all the text (except Sanskrit signs, which are still shown by the Sanskrit 2003 font) of this website. In this way, the Gentium font is not needed any longer here from now on.
    2. As the Andika font is set up as a web font (in .woff version), your browser should install it automatically for you. Anyway, if you run into some issues with Andika as web font, or else because you just want to have it installed manually into your system, then you must do this .
    3. You can visit the " Site 2 " (www.parabhairavayoga.com) though it is not "formally" inaugurated and there is no post published yet (except a sample post containing the well-known "Lorem ipsum dolor..."). You can register for commenting under future posts too, if you like. The subject will be Non-dual Shaivism of Rosario (Non-dual Shaivism of Kashmir reformed for the current age), but there will be posts about many things related to the Sanskrit universe as a whole, I guess. I have still to edit the "About" page there, adding some more information, and also configure the fonts more adequately. In short, the website is 99% ready. I added a link to Site 2 to the navigation bar located above for you to access it easily. Consider the second website as a sort of satellite of this main site where you are reading right now.
    4. Although the move to Andika font does have to do with the "overhauling" I have been talking about for long, Site 2 has nothing to do with that process. Site 2 was simply something that happened suddenly by His Will, that is, there was no plan previously in my mind.
    5. Enjoy!
  21. 06/20: Stanza 6 of Paramārthasāra Details
    1. I translated the 6 th stanza of Paramārthasāra together with its commentary.
    2. Since the text is rather cryptic, be patient while I write the notes of explanation for you to fully understand it.
    3. As an additional preparation for the future website overhauling, we moved to a new hosting company that gives us the technological features we will need after the overhauling. Now our server is located in the United States instead of Argentina.
    4. The visitors should not have noticed anything about this move to a new server, because the domain names (sanskrit-trikashaivism.com and sanskrit-sanscrito.com) are the same... but you know, this matter related to theory vs. practice is always in one's way. Therefore, we sorry for any inconvenience this move could have caused in your case, visitor.
    5. Enjoy!
  22. 06/08: From XHTML 1.0 Strict to HTML5 - (1) Details
    1. I moved the section in English from XHTML 1.0 Strict to HTML5.
    2. This is a preparation for a future overhauling of the website. I did not add any new tag but I only made the old source code HTML5 valid. I had to polish other things too during the process.
    3. If you have no idea what I am talking about, do not worry. It is just about the way the website is built from a technical viewpoint. You will not notice for now anything new being shown by your browser, since the change is subtle and hardly visible to the ones who are not conversant with HTML. The great changes will hopefully come in the near future, if everything goes well according to the plan.
    4. Enjoy!
  23. 05/25: Eight notes of explanation - Stanza 5 of Paramārthasāra Details
    1. I added eight notes of explanation under the commentary on the stanza 5 in Paramārthasāra.
    2. The stanza and the commentary are relatively easy to understand, specially if compared to the previous stanzas and their commentaries, but I needed to explain some things to you in detail.
    3. Enjoy!
  24. 05/20: Cleaning codes Details
    1. I was simplifying the design of the website as a preparation for a future possible overhauling: e.g. I removed the stylesheet changer (not needed any more at this time) and unified other pages related to the DFSL.
    2. If you did not understood anything, do not worry because it is just a technical question. Anyway, if you are a frequent visitor of the website and it looks broken, make sure you fully refresh the pages for the new configuration to load rightly. This is generally done by pressing Ctrl + F5 keys.
    3. I am sorry about any inconveniences!
    4. Enjoy!
  25. 05/15: Stanza 5 of Paramārthasāra Details
    1. I translated the stanza 5 of Paramārthasāra along with its commentary.
    2. Although there are some subtleties I will need to explain by the respective notes, the text is relatively simple to understand.
    3. My delays in publishing new stuff are mainly due now to my hard studying new technologies and designs (e.g. HTML5 and CSS3). This process is very time-consuming to me because I am always alone when it comes to "codes". And when it comes to translating Sanskrit... I am alone too. I have no disciple who is capable to accomplish this kind of missions for the time being. And there is also a personal life, or at least I suppose that there should be one in my own case. I say this because some visitors use to be very impatient regarding updates here, thinking that there are a full staff of Sanskrit and Trika scholars working together with a flock of webmasters. NO, it just one man working almost all the time completely alone, and I do not have "yet" many arms like a Hindu god, you know, hehe.
    4. Enjoy!
  26. 05/04: Full support for mobile phones and tablets Details
    1. I added full support for mobile phones and tablets throughout the website. Apparently the task was simple, but in a huge website like this one nothing is never simple. All in all, I had to work for some time in order to get good results. The support is automatic, that is, you do not have to do anything at all because the codes on my website will do everything for you on their own. So, there is no way for you to miss the target. I added more information about this new feature in Tour - Getting started.
    2. My goal was "functionality" and not "eye-candy". Anyway, if you see something broken, please, let me know.
    3. With my future moving to HTML 5, new technology will be implemented in the process.
    4. Enjoy!

  5. 12/08: Paulo and Claudio, our collaborators, translated NABM into Brazilian Portuguese Details
    1. Paulo and Claudio, our collaborators, translated NABM into Brazilian Portuguese. This document is very important to all people interested in Haṭhayoga, and now it is completely translated into the native language of the Portuguese-speaking ones. I renovated the entire Appendix section by adding Gentium font to the transliteration along with accessibility features, and by fixing typos and some other errors. I am adding Gentium font throughout the entire website "simultaneously" in order to speed up the process of moving to the new transliteration font. As this is the first "round" or "group" of such additions, you are very likely to find some documents with Gentium font added to certain Sanskrit words "only". Remember that Gentium font is mainly used to show transliterated Sanskrit in all its glory. Since the task of adding that font to all the website will be a long one, there will be more rounds of additions. Gentium font is easily detected because it has "serif" while the usual Verdana or Arial fonts used on the website have no serif. If you do not know what "serif" is, Wikipedia is always a useful resource: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serif.
